From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him.“ Get out of here, baldy!” they said.“ Get out of here, baldy!”

He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying,“ Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”

Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the town began mocking and making fun of him.“ Go away, baldy!” they chanted.“ Go away, baldy!”

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking up the path, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, chanting,“ Go up, baldy! Go up, baldy!”

Now he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the road, some young boys came out from the city and ridiculed him and said to him,“ Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!”

Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him,“ Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”

And he went up from thence unto Beth- el; and as he was going up by the way, there came forth young lads out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou baldhead; go up, thou baldhead.

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking up the path, some small boys came out of the city and harassed him, chanting,“ Go up, baldy! Go up, baldy!”

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

彼譏上帝之使、藐視其命、侮其先知、干耶和華震怒、不復援手、

孺子藐視我、我方屹立、遭其譏訕。

越至於今、年少於我者、反加訕笑、彼之父兄、自我視之、比之守羊之犬、不若也。

彼偽為者言誕妄、行矜誇、欲害義人兮、當令其緘默兮。

教子以道、至老不背。

毋在伯特利播言、此處王之聖所、宮闕在焉。

愚蠢側陋之子、無俾居於樂土。斯人作歌、托詞以譏刺、厭棄我躬、唾我面而弗我惜、不自檢束、無所不為、以困苦加諸我。是直妄人也、立我之右、顛躓我足、彼害及我、猶敵築壘以攻。彼乃遊民、毀我所由之道、速我之亡。突如其來、圮其城垣、乘機擁入。患難之至、猶飄風之來、我榮已去、我福不長、等諸浮雲。今我困苦不堪、聊抒憤懣。骨痛若刺、終夜不息。疾大漸、肌膚不營、一身拘急、如衣束縛、推我於塗炭、遍體塵垢。禱告乎主、不蒙垂聽、侍立其前、罔加眷顧。爾轉弗恤、以大力攻我。猶捲以狂風、飄颻不定、使我喪膽、不勝戰慄。我知爾必致我於死、入億兆當歸之窀穸。上帝降災、使人喪亡、祈禱無益、呼籲無裨。人遭患難、我為哭泣、貧乏遇害、我心懷憂。仰望福祉、反罹禍害、守待光明、反遭暗昧。患難既臨、中心棼然、不獲綏安。未暴於日、面目黧黑、立於會中、我常呼籲。我與野犬遊、我與駝鳥居。我膚已黑、我骨已焦。我鼓琴以寄哀、我吹簫而泣訴。

耶和華、曰、以色列族爾往伯特利常干罪戾、在吉甲屢蹈愆尤、仍獻日祭、三年一次、十分取一、獻酬恩之祭與酵、樂輸之物、炫示於眾、蓋爾以此為悅。

惟爾淫亂之人、術數之徒、咸集於此。爾曹罪人、偽為妄作、張吻吐舌、欲侮何人。

我罰以色列族時、亦必降災於伯特利祭壇、斷其四角、毀之於地、

故必去欲絕邪、蓋幼稚之時、亦屬於虛。

予也遭難、彼眾咸集、懽然以喜兮、譭謗沸騰、背予而詈、靡有底止兮、

有人受欺侮、遭鞭扑、陷縲絏、困囹固、以歷試之、有石擊鋸解、

我耶和華為以色列族之聖主、斯民侮予、棄予逆予、風俗澆漓、陷於罪戾、入於邪僻、豈不哀哉。

子之清直與否、視其所為則可知矣。

爾在伯特利、多行不義、主必使爾敗北、以色列王忽致殞亡。

黎庶自相凌虐、耄耋者被侮於幼稚、尊顯者見凌於卑賤。

爾毀殿、三日建之、今宜自救也、爾若上帝子、可由十字架下矣、祭司諸長、士子、長老、亦如是譏曰、彼救他人、不能自救、若為以色列王、今由十字架而下、我即信之、彼恃上帝、若上帝悅之、今必見拯、蓋彼曰、我乃上帝子也、

以色列族縱欲行淫、猶大族勿效其尤、勿詣吉甲、勿至伯亞文、否則猶謂崇敬我耶和華可乎。

毋求伯特利毋往吉甲、毋至別是巴、蓋吉甲人必見遷移、伯特利必歸烏有、

昔循人道而生者、窘逐依神道而生者、今亦如是、

子採薪、父為炊、婦女團麵為餅、以奉天后、酒以灌奠、敬他上帝、干我震怒。

埃及婦夏甲、從亞伯拉罕所生之子、頗興譏刺、撒拉見之。

子心愚昧、扑以明之。

撒馬利亞人在伯亞文、奉事犢像、彩色剝落、祭司戰慄、庶民殷憂、

編棘冕、冠其首、置葦於右手、戲跪其前曰、猶太人之王安、唾之、取葦擊其首、戲畢、褫其袍、衣以故衣、曳釘十字架、○

仍與偕行、言間、忽有車馬、如火炎炎、間隔二人、以利亞乘大風而昇天。
