Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the town began mocking and making fun of him.“ Go away, baldy!” they chanted.“ Go away, baldy!”

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking up the path, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, chanting,“ Go up, baldy! Go up, baldy!”

Now he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the road, some young boys came out from the city and ridiculed him and said to him,“ Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!”

Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him,“ Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”

And he went up from thence unto Beth- el; and as he was going up by the way, there came forth young lads out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou baldhead; go up, thou baldhead.

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking up the path, some small boys came out of the city and harassed him, chanting,“ Go up, baldy! Go up, baldy!”

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

愿撒谎的嘴唇哑然无声——它们因着自高和轻慢，向义人说狂傲的话。

训练孩童走当行的路，就是到老，他也不偏离。

“至于你们这些巫婆的子孙，奸夫和妓女的种子，近前来到这里吧！你们在嘲笑谁呢？向谁张大嘴巴、伸长舌头呢？难道你们不是叛逆之子、虚谎之种吗？

因此你当从心中除掉烦恼，从肉体中除去疾苦；要知道，无论年少或青壮都转眼成空。

但我跌倒的时候，他们却欢喜聚集；我不认识的卑贱人聚集攻击我，不停地撕扯我；

另有些人经受了戏弄、鞭打的试炼；还有些人受了捆锁、监禁的试炼；

祸哉！有罪的国，罪孽深重的民，作恶者的后裔，败坏的儿女！他们离弃耶和华，藐视以色列的圣者，转背远离他。

就算是小孩子，也能藉着他的行为，辨认出他的作为是否纯洁正直。

百姓将彼此欺压，这人欺压那人，各人欺压自己的邻人；少年人侮慢老年人，卑微人侮慢尊贵人。

说：“你这个要拆毁圣所、三天内又建起来的人哪，救救你自己吧！你如果是神的儿子，就从十字架上下来吧！”同样，祭司长们也与经文士们和长老们一起嘲笑，说：“他救了别人，却不能救自己！他是以色列的王！现在让他从十字架上下来吧，这样我们就信靠他！他依靠神，如果神喜悦他，就让神现在救他吧！因为他说过‘我是神的儿子。’”

但正如那由肉体生的当时逼迫了那由圣灵生的，现在也是这样。

撒拉看见埃及人夏甲为亚伯拉罕所生的儿子在一边嘲笑，

愚妄缠在孩子的心里，管教的杖使愚妄远离。

用荆棘编了冠冕，戴在他的头上，又把一根芦苇放在他的右手里，然后跪在他面前，戏弄他说：“万岁，犹太人的王！”接着向他吐唾沫，拿芦苇打他的头。他们戏弄完了，就脱下他深红色的袍子，给他穿上他自己的衣服，然后把他带走，要钉上十字架。
