Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’”

Then he went out to the spring. He threw the salt into it. He told the people,“ The Lord says,‘ I have made this water pure. It will never cause death again. It will never keep the land from producing crops again.’ ”

Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,“ Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.”

Then he went out to the spring that supplied the town with water and threw the salt into it. And he said,“ This is what the Lord says: I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or infertility.”

Elisha went out to the spring, threw salt in it, and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ I have healed this water. No longer will death or unfruitfulness result from it.’”

Then he went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have purified these waters; there shall not come from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’ ”

Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’”

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast salt therein, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or miscarrying.

Elisha went out to the spring of water, threw salt in it, and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have healed this water. No longer will death or unfruitfulness result from it.’”

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren[ land].

從城的大街中間穿過。河的兩邊有生命樹，結十二種果子；每個月都結果子，樹上的葉子是為了醫治萬民。將來不再有任何詛咒。神和羔羊的寶座將要在城中，他的奴僕們將事奉他，

鹽是好的，但如果那鹽也不鹹了，還能用什麼來調味呢？你們裡面要有鹽，要彼此和睦。」

耶穌說了這些話，就吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和了一點泥，抹在瞎眼之人的眼睛上，

原來，十字架的福音對那些正在滅亡的人來說，是愚拙的；但是對我們這些正在被拯救的人來說，卻是神的大能。因為經上記著：「我將要毀滅智慧人的智慧，廢棄聰明人的聰明。」智慧人在哪裡？經文士在哪裡？這世代的雄辯家在哪裡？神難道不使這世界的智慧成了愚拙嗎？實際上，在神的智慧中，世界既然憑智慧不認識神，神就樂意藉著傳道的愚拙，拯救那些相信的人。雖然猶太人求神蹟，希臘人尋智慧，但我們卻傳揚被釘十字架的基督——對猶太人來說是絆腳石，對外邦人來說是愚拙的；不過對那些蒙召的人，無論是猶太人、或是希臘人，基督總是神的大能、神的智慧。因為神的愚拙比人更智慧，神的軟弱比人更強壯。弟兄們，想一想你們所蒙的召喚：按人的標準，你們當中有智慧的不多，有權勢的不多，出身高貴的也不多。然而神卻揀選了世上愚拙的，為了使那些有智慧的羞愧；神又揀選了世上軟弱的，為了使那些強壯的羞愧；神也揀選了世上出身低微的、被人藐視的，就是那些不是什麼的，為了要廢除那些是個什麼的，

「當人們因我的緣故責罵你們、逼迫你們、用各種捏造出來的惡事毀謗你們的時候，你們就是蒙福的。

神要從他們的眼中抹去一切淚水。將來不再有死亡，也不再有悲傷、哭泣或痛苦，因為先前的事已經過去了。」

神使河流成為曠野，水源成為乾涸之地，使結果實的土地成為鹽鹼地，這都因其上居民的邪惡。他也使曠野成為水池，使乾旱之地成為水源，使飢餓的人居住在那裡，得以建造可安居的城。他們耕種田地，種植葡萄園，得到出產的果實。神祝福他們，他們就大大增多；他也使他們的牲畜沒有減少。
