Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’”

Then he went out to the spring. He threw the salt into it. He told the people,“ The Lord says,‘ I have made this water pure. It will never cause death again. It will never keep the land from producing crops again.’ ”

Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,“ Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.”

Then he went out to the spring that supplied the town with water and threw the salt into it. And he said,“ This is what the Lord says: I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or infertility.”

Elisha went out to the spring, threw salt in it, and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ I have healed this water. No longer will death or unfruitfulness result from it.’”

Then he went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have purified these waters; there shall not come from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’ ”

Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’”

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast salt therein, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or miscarrying.

Elisha went out to the spring of water, threw salt in it, and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have healed this water. No longer will death or unfruitfulness result from it.’”

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren[ land].

He went out to the spring and threw the salt in. Then he said,“ This is what the LORD says,‘ I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or fail to produce crops.”

摩西向耶和華呼叫，耶和華就向他指示一棵樹；他把樹丟進水裡，水就變甜了。耶和華在那裡為他們立了律例和典章，也在那裡試驗了他們。耶和華又說：“如果你留意聽耶和華你神的聲音，行他眼中看為正的事，側耳聽他的誡命，遵守他的一切律例；這樣，我決不把加在埃及人身上的一切疾病加在你們身上，因為我是醫治你的耶和華。”

他說：“拿些麵給我。”他把麵放在鍋中，說：“倒出來給眾人吃吧。”鍋裡就沒有毒了。

神人說：“掉在哪裡呢？”於是他把那地點指給他看。他砍了一根木頭，丟在那裡，那斧頭就浮上來了。

你獻作素祭的一切供物，都要用鹽調和；在你的素祭上，不可缺少你神立約的鹽；你的一切供物，都要用鹽調和獻上。

經過城裡的街道。河的兩邊有生命樹，結十二次果子，每月都結果子；樹葉可以醫治列國。所有咒詛都不再有了。城裡有神和羊羔的寶座，他的僕人都要事奉他，

鹽是好的，但如果失了味，可以用甚麼使它再鹹呢？你們自己裡面應當有鹽，彼此和睦。”

說了這話，就吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和了一點泥，把泥抹在瞎子的眼睛上，

因為十字架的道理，對走向滅亡的人來說是愚笨的，但對我們這些得救的人，卻是神的大能。因為經上記著說：“我要滅絕智慧人的智慧，廢棄聰明人的聰明。”智慧人在哪裡？經學家在哪裡？今世的辯士在哪裡？神不是使屬世的智慧變成了愚笨嗎？因為在神的智慧裡，世人憑自己的智慧，既然不能認識神，神就樂意藉著所傳的愚笨的道理，去拯救那些信的人。猶太人要求神蹟，希臘人尋找智慧，我們卻傳揚釘十字架的基督；在猶太人看來是絆腳石，在外族人看來是愚笨的，但對那些蒙召的人，不論是猶太人或希臘人，基督是神的能力，神的智慧。因為神的愚笨總比人智慧，神的軟弱總比人剛強。弟兄們，你們想想，你們這些蒙召的，按人（“人”或譯：“世上的標準”、“世界的標準”）來看有智慧的不多，有權勢的不多，出身尊貴的也不多。但是神卻揀選了世上愚笨的，使那些有智慧的羞愧。他也揀選了世上軟弱的，使那些剛強的羞愧。他也揀選了世上卑賤的和被人輕視的，以及算不得甚麼的，為了要廢棄那些自以為是的，

他又對我說：“這水要向東方的地區流出去，下到亞拉巴，流入死海。這水流入死海，就使海裡的水變淡（“變淡”原文作“得醫治”）。那時，這河流過的地方，所有滋生的動物都可以存活。這水流到哪裡，哪裡就有許多魚；因為這河流到哪裡，海水就變淡，一切都可以存活。必有漁夫站在河邊，從隱．基底直到隱．以革蓮，都是曬網的地方。各類的魚都像大海裡的魚那樣多。只有沼澤和窪地的水不能變淡，留作產鹽之用。

人若因我的緣故辱罵你們，迫害你們，並且捏造各樣壞話毀謗你們，你們就有福了。

他要抹去他們的一切眼淚，不再有死亡，也不再有悲哀、哭號、痛苦，因為先前的事都過去了。”

他使江河變為曠野，使水泉變為乾旱無水之地。他使肥沃的土地變為鹹田，都因住在那裡的居民的邪惡。他使曠野變為池塘，使旱地變為水泉。他使飢餓的人住在那裡，好讓他們建造可以居住的城巿。他們耕種田地，栽種葡萄園，得到豐盛的收成。他又賜福給他們，使他們人口眾多，也沒有使他們的牲畜減少。
