Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’”

Then he went out to the spring. He threw the salt into it. He told the people,“ The Lord says,‘ I have made this water pure. It will never cause death again. It will never keep the land from producing crops again.’ ”

Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,“ Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.”

Then he went out to the spring that supplied the town with water and threw the salt into it. And he said,“ This is what the Lord says: I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or infertility.”

Elisha went out to the spring, threw salt in it, and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ I have healed this water. No longer will death or unfruitfulness result from it.’”

Then he went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have purified these waters; there shall not come from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’ ”

Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’”

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast salt therein, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or miscarrying.

Elisha went out to the spring of water, threw salt in it, and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have healed this water. No longer will death or unfruitfulness result from it.’”

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren[ land].

所有素祭中都要放鹽，藉此提醒你們與上帝所立的約。所有祭物中都要放鹽。

河兩岸有結十二種果子的生命樹，每個月都結果子，葉子能醫治萬民。再也沒有咒詛，因為城裡有上帝和羔羊的寶座，祂的奴僕都要事奉祂。

鹽是好東西，但如果失去鹹味，怎能使它再鹹呢？你們裡面要有鹽，要彼此和睦。」

耶穌講完後，便吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和泥抹在那盲人的眼睛上，

因為十字架之道在將要滅亡的人看來是愚昧的，但對我們這些得救的人來說卻是上帝的大能，正如聖經上說：「我要摧毀智者的智慧，廢棄明哲的聰明。」這個世代所謂的智者、學者、雄辯家在哪裡？上帝豈不是把這世上的智慧都變成愚昧了嗎？上帝運用自己的智慧不讓世人憑自己的智慧去認識祂，祂樂意採用世人看為愚昧的道理去拯救那些相信的人，這就是上帝的智慧。猶太人要看神蹟，希臘人尋求智慧，但我們傳講被釘十字架的基督。這對猶太人來說是絆腳石，對外族人來說是愚昧的。但對於蒙召的人，無論是猶太人還是希臘人，基督是上帝的能力、上帝的智慧。因為上帝的「愚昧」也勝過世人的智慧，上帝的「軟弱」也勝過世人的剛強。弟兄姊妹，想想你們蒙召時的情形。按人的標準來衡量，你們當中稱得上有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，出身名門望族的也不多。但上帝揀選了世人看為愚昧的，要使智者羞愧；上帝揀選了世上軟弱的，要使強者蒙羞；上帝揀選了世上卑賤的、被藐視的和無足輕重的，要使世人看為舉足輕重的變得無足輕重。

他對我說：「這水向東流，經過亞拉巴流到鹽海，使那裡的鹹水變為淡水。河水流經的地方，萬物滋長，魚產豐盛，因為河水使那裡的鹹水變成淡水了。漁夫要站在岸邊捕魚，從隱·基底到隱·以革蓮都是曬網的地方。那裡的魚就像大海的魚一樣種類繁多。但沼澤和濕窪之地卻不會改變，留作產鹽之地。

「人們因為我的緣故侮辱、迫害、肆意毀謗你們，你們就有福了。

上帝要擦乾他們所有的眼淚，再沒有死亡、憂傷、哭泣和痛苦，因為以前的事都已成過去。」

祂使江河變成荒漠，水泉變成乾地，叫沃土變成荒涼的鹽鹼地，因為那裡的居民邪惡。祂叫荒漠水塘遍佈，使旱地甘泉湧流。祂使饑餓的人住在那裡，建造可安居的城邑，耕種田地，栽植葡萄園，收成豐碩。祂賜福給他們，使他們人丁興旺，牲口有增無減。
