以利亚对以利沙说：“你留在这里吧，因为耶和华差派我到伯特利去。”以利沙说：“我指着永活的耶和华和你的性命起誓：我必不离开你。”于是他们下到伯特利去。

以利亞謂以利沙曰、耶和華遣我至伯特利、請爾待此、以利沙曰、我指維生之耶和華、及爾生命而誓、我不離爾、於是二人下伯特利、

以利亞告以利沙曰、耶和華使我往伯特利、汝可待此。以利沙曰、我指耶和華而誓、亦指爾生命以誓、我不離爾。乃偕往伯特利。

以利亞謂以利沙曰、主遣我往伯特利、爾且待此、以利沙曰、我指永生主而誓、亦指爾之生命而誓、我不離爾、於是二人下伯特利、

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here. The Lord has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ I won’t leave you. And that’s just as sure as the Lord and you are alive.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you!” So they went down together to Bethel.

and Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the LORD is sending me on to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here please, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Then Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for Jehovah hath sent me as far as Beth- el. And Elisha said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth- el.

and Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here; the Lord is sending me on to Bethel.” But Elisha replied,“ As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said[ unto him, As] the LORD liveth, and[ as] thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah told Elisha,“ Stay here, for the LORD has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As certainly as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me as far as Bethel.” Elisha said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

以利亚对他说：“你留在这里吧，因为耶和华差派我往约旦河去。”以利沙说：“我指着永活的耶和华和你的性命起誓：我必不离开你。”于是他们二人继续前行。

孩子的母亲说：“我指着永活的耶和华和你的性命起誓，我决不会离开你。”神人只好起身随她而去。

妇人说：“我主啊，我敢指着我主的性命起誓，我就是从前在这里站在你旁边，向耶和华祷告的那个妇人。

以利亚对以利沙说：“你留在这里吧，因为耶和华差派我往耶利哥。”他说：“我指着永活的耶和华和你的性命起誓：我必不离开你。”于是他们来到耶利哥。

我主啊，现在我指着永活的耶和华，又在你面前起誓，耶和华既然阻止了你流人的血，又阻止了你亲手报仇，愿你的仇敌和那些谋害我主的人，都像拿八一样。

如果你凭真理、公正、公义，指着永活的耶和华起誓；列国就必因耶和华蒙福，也必以他为荣。”

他就给那地方起名叫伯特利，但那城起初名叫路斯。

拿俄米说：“你看，你嫂嫂已经回到她同胞和她的神那里去了。你也跟着嫂嫂回去吧。”路得说：“请不要逼我离开你回去，不跟从你。你到哪里去，我也要到哪里去；你在哪里过夜，我也要在哪里过夜；你的同胞就是我的同胞，你的神就是我的神；你死在哪里，我也要死在哪里，葬在哪里。除非死亡把你我分离；如果我离开你，愿耶和华加倍惩罚我。”拿俄米看路得坚决要跟她走，就不再多费唇舌了。

他就把一个牛犊安放在伯特利，一个安放在但。

八月十五日，就是他心里私定作为以色列人节期的日子，他在伯特利在自己所建的祭坛上献祭烧香。有一个神人，奉耶和华的命令，从犹大来到伯特利；那时，耶罗波安正站在祭坛旁边烧香。神人奉耶和华的命令，向那祭坛喊叫，说：“祭坛哪，祭坛哪，耶和华这样说：‘看哪，大卫家要生一个儿子，名叫约西亚；他要把邱坛的祭司，就是在你上面烧香的，作祭物献在你上面。人的骨头也要在你上面焚烧。’”

王对迦特人以太说：“你为什么也与我们一同走呢？回去留在新王那里吧！因为你是个外族人，是个远离自己家乡逃到这里来的人。你昨天才来，我怎可以今天就让你与我们一同流浪呢？现在我还不知道我要到哪里去。你回去吧！带着你的兄弟一同回去吧！愿耶和华的（《马索拉文本》没有“耶和华的”；现参照《七十士译本》补上）慈爱和信实与你同在。”以太回答王说：“我指着永活的耶和华，在我主我王面前起誓，无论我主我王在什么地方，或生或死，你仆人也必在那里。”

于是耶稣对十二门徒说：“你们也想离去吗？”西门．彼得回答：“主啊，你有永生之道，我们还跟从谁呢？

扫罗看见大卫出去迎战那非利士人，就问元帅押尼珥：“押尼珥啊，这个年轻人是谁的儿子？”押尼珥回答：“我敢指着王起誓，我不知道。”

他们从我们中间离去，这就表明他们是不属于我们的。其实他们并不属于我们，如果真的属于我们，就一定会留在我们中间。
