The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said,“ The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

The group of prophets from Jericho were watching. They said,“ The spirit of Elijah has been given to Elisha.” They went over to Elisha. They bowed down to him with their faces toward the ground.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him opposite them, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the group of prophets from Jericho saw from a distance what happened, they exclaimed,“ Elijah’s spirit rests upon Elisha!” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were observing saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah has settled on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

And when the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho over against him saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

And when the sons of the prophets which[ were] to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the members of the prophetic guild in Jericho, who were standing at a distance, saw him do this, they said,“ The spirit that energized Elijah rests upon Elisha.” They went to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

“但我要从父那里差保惠师来，就是从父出来的那真理的灵，他来的时候要为我作见证。你们也要作见证，因为你们从起初就与我同在。”

耶和华说：“这就是我与他们所立的约：我加给你的灵，传给你的话，必不离你的口，也不离你后裔与你后裔之后裔的口，从今直到永远；这是耶和华说的。”

但圣灵降临在你们身上，你们就必得着能力，并要在耶路撒冷、犹太全地和撒玛利亚，直到地极，作我的见证。”

有个先知门徒的妻子哀求以利沙说：“你的仆人，我丈夫死了，他敬畏耶和华是你所知道的。现在有债主来，要带走我的两个孩子给他作奴隶。”以利沙对她说：“我可以为你做什么呢？告诉我，你家里有什么？”她说：“婢女家中除了一瓶油之外，什么也没有。”以利沙说：“你到外面去向所有的邻舍借器皿，要空的器皿，不要少借。然后你回家，关上门，你和你儿子在里面把油倒在所有的器皿里，倒满了就放在一边。”

妇人就进来，在以利沙脚前俯伏于地，向他下拜，然后抱起她儿子出去了。

有五十个先知的门徒同去，远远地站在他们对面；他们二人在约旦河边站住。

先知的门徒对以利沙说：“看哪，我们在你面前居住的地方，那里对我们太窄小了。让我们往约旦河去，各人从那里取一根木料，在那里为自己建造居住的地方。”他说：“你们去吧！”有一人说：“请你与仆人同去。”他说：“我可以去。”于是以利沙与他们同去。到了约旦河，他们砍伐树木。有一人砍树的时候，斧子的头掉在水里，他就喊着说：“不好了！我主啊，斧子是借来的。”神人说：“掉在哪里了？”他把那地方指给以利沙看。以利沙砍了一块木头，抛在水里，就使斧子的头浮上来了。以利沙说：“拿起来吧！”那人就伸手拿起来了。

你们若为基督的名受辱骂是有福的，因为荣耀的灵，就是上帝的灵，在你们身上。

耶和华的灵必住在他身上，就是智慧和聪明的灵，谋略和能力的灵，知识和敬畏耶和华的灵。

耶和华对约书亚说：“从今日起，我必使你在以色列众人眼前被尊为大，使他们知道我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在。

又将你的尊荣给他一些，好使以色列全会众都听从他。

他对我说：“我的恩典是够你用的，因为我的能力是在人的软弱上显得完全。”所以，我更喜欢夸耀自己的软弱，好使基督的能力覆庇我。

耶和华在云中降临，对摩西说话，把降给他的灵分给那七十个长老。灵停在他们身上的时候，他们就说预言，以后却没有再说了。但有两个人仍在营里，一个名叫伊利达，一个名叫米达。他们本是在那些登记的人中，却没有到会幕那里去。灵停在他们身上，他们就在营里说预言。有一个年轻人跑来告诉摩西说：“伊利达和米达在营里说预言。”嫩的儿子约书亚，年轻时就作摩西的助手，说：“请我主摩西禁止他们。”摩西对他说：“你为我的缘故嫉妒吗？惟愿耶和华的百姓都是先知，愿耶和华把他的灵降在他们身上！”

在那日，耶和华使约书亚在以色列众人眼前被尊为大。在他一生的年日中，百姓敬服他，像从前敬服摩西一样。

耶利哥城的人对以利沙说：“看哪，这城的地势美好，正如我主所看见的，只是水质恶劣，地也没有生产。”
