The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said,“ The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

The group of prophets from Jericho were watching. They said,“ The spirit of Elijah has been given to Elisha.” They went over to Elisha. They bowed down to him with their faces toward the ground.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him opposite them, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the group of prophets from Jericho saw from a distance what happened, they exclaimed,“ Elijah’s spirit rests upon Elisha!” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were observing saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah has settled on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

And when the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho over against him saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

And when the sons of the prophets which[ were] to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the members of the prophetic guild in Jericho, who were standing at a distance, saw him do this, they said,“ The spirit that energized Elijah rests upon Elisha.” They went to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

“我從父那裡要差來給你們的保惠師，就是從父那裡出來的真理的靈，他來到的時候，要為我作見證。你們也要作見證，因為從開始你們就是跟我在一起的。”

耶和華說：“至於我，我與他們所立的約是這樣：我加在你們身上的靈和我放在你口裡的話，必不離開你的口，不離開你後裔的口，也不離開你後裔的後裔的口，從現在直到永遠；這是耶和華說的。”

可是聖靈降臨在你們身上，你們就必領受能力，並且要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地、撒瑪利亞，直到地極，作我的見證人。”

一位先知門徒的妻子哀求以利沙說：“你僕人我的丈夫死了，你知道你的僕人是敬畏耶和華的。現在債主來要抓我的兩個孩子作他的奴僕。”以利沙對他說：“我可以為你作甚麼呢？告訴我，你家裡有甚麼呢？”她說：“婢女家中除了一瓶油以外，甚麼也沒有。”以利沙說：“你到外面去向你所有的鄰居借空器皿，要盡量多借。然後回去，把你和你兒子關在家裡，你要把油倒在所有器皿裡面，裝滿了的就放在一邊。”

於是她進去，在他的腳前下拜，俯伏在地上；然後把兒子抱起來，出去了。

先知門徒中有五十人跟著他們，遠遠地站在他們對面；他們二人在約旦河河邊站著。

眾先知門徒對以利沙說：“請看，我們在你面前居住的那一個地方，對我們來說實在是太窄小了。請你讓我們到約旦河，每人從那裡取一根木頭，我們要在那裡為自己建造一個地方居住。”以利沙說：“你們去吧！”有一個門徒說：“請你和你的僕人們一起去。”他說：“我會去的。”他就和他們同去。他們到了約旦河，就砍伐樹木。有一個門徒砍伐木頭的時候，斧頭掉到水裡去了。他就喊著說：“慘啦！我主啊，這斧頭是借回來的。”神人說：“掉在哪裡呢？”於是他把那地點指給他看。他砍了一根木頭，丟在那裡，那斧頭就浮上來了。以利沙說：“你自己拿上來吧。”他就伸手把它拿住了。

你們要是為基督的名受辱罵，就有福了！因為神榮耀的靈，住在你們身上。

耶和華的靈必停留在他身上，就是智慧的靈和聰明的靈，謀略的靈和能力的靈，知識的靈和敬畏耶和華的靈。

耶和華對約書亞說：“今天起，我要使你在以色列眾人眼中成為尊大，這樣他們就知道我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在。

你要把你的尊榮給他幾分，好叫以色列全體會眾都聽從他。

他卻對我說：“我的恩典是夠你用的，因為我的能力在人的軟弱上顯得完全。”所以，我更喜歡誇自己的軟弱，好讓基督的能力臨到我的身上。

耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把摩西身上的靈，分給那七十個長老；靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就說預言，以後卻沒有再說。那時還有兩個人留在營裡；一個名叫伊利達，一個名叫米達；靈也停在他們身上。他們原是在被錄取的人中，卻沒有到會幕那裡去；他們就在營裡說預言。有個少年人跑來，告訴摩西：“伊利達和米達在營中說預言。”摩西的侍從，嫩的兒子約書亞，就是摩西所揀選的，回答說：“我主，摩西，請你制止他們。”摩西對他說：“你為我的緣故嫉妒嗎？但願耶和華的人民都是先知，但願耶和華把他的靈降在他們身上。”

那一天耶和華使約書亞在以色列眾人眼中成為尊大；在他一生的日子，人民敬畏他，好像敬畏摩西一樣。

那城的人對以利沙說：“請看這城的地勢很好，老師你也看見，可惜水惡劣，以致此地沒有出產。”
