The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said,“ The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

The group of prophets from Jericho were watching. They said,“ The spirit of Elijah has been given to Elisha.” They went over to Elisha. They bowed down to him with their faces toward the ground.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him opposite them, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the group of prophets from Jericho saw from a distance what happened, they exclaimed,“ Elijah’s spirit rests upon Elisha!” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were observing saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah has settled on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

And when the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho over against him saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

And when the sons of the prophets which[ were] to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the members of the prophetic guild in Jericho, who were standing at a distance, saw him do this, they said,“ The spirit that energized Elijah rests upon Elisha.” They went to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

“我要从父那里为你们差护慰者来，祂就是从父而来的真理之灵。祂来了要为我做见证。你们也要为我做见证，因为你们从开始就与我在一起。

耶和华说：“我亲自与他们立约，我赐给他们的灵和我放在他们口中的话，必不离开他们和他们的子子孙孙，从现在直到永远。这是耶和华说的。”

但圣灵降临在你们身上后，你们必得到能力，在耶路撒冷、犹太全境和撒玛利亚，直到地极，做我的见证人。”

有一个先知的妻子哀求以利沙说：“你仆人——我丈夫怎样敬畏耶和华，你是知道的。如今他去世了，债主来取我的两个孩子做奴隶。”以利沙问她：“我该怎样帮你呢？告诉我，你家里有什么？”妇人答道：“婢女家什么也没有，只有一瓶油。”以利沙说：“你去向所有的邻居借空器皿，要尽量多借一些。然后回家关上门，你和你儿子在屋里把那瓶油倒在所有借来的器皿中，装满的放在一边。”

妇人进来，在以利沙脚前下拜，然后抱起儿子出去了。

先知中有五十人跟他们来到约旦河，远远地站着，他们二人则站在河边。

一群先知对以利沙说：“你看，我们住的地方实在太小了。请让我们去约旦河吧，我们每人都可以从那里砍一根木头盖房子居住。”以利沙说：“你们去吧。”其中一人请以利沙一起去，以利沙答应了，便和他们一起去约旦河砍伐树木。有个人砍树的时候，斧头掉进了水里。他大喊：“唉！师傅，这把斧头是借来的。”上帝的仆人问：“斧头掉在哪里了？”他就指给以利沙看。以利沙砍了一根树枝抛进水里，斧头便浮了上来。以利沙说：“你去拿上来吧！”他便伸手拿起了斧头。

如果你们为基督的缘故受辱骂，就有福了！因为上帝荣耀的灵常住在你们身上。

耶和华的灵必住在他身上，使他有聪明和智慧、谋略和能力，能认识并敬畏耶和华。

耶和华对约书亚说：“从今天开始，我要使你在以色列人面前得到尊荣，让他们知道我与你同在，正如从前我跟摩西同在一样。

把你的权柄赐给他，使以色列全体会众都听从他。

但祂说：“我的恩典足够你用，因为我的能力在人的软弱上更显得全备。”所以，我更喜欢夸耀自己的软弱，好让基督的能力荫庇我。

耶和华在云中降临，对摩西说话，把降在摩西身上的灵也赐给七十位长老。灵一降在他们身上，他们就说起预言来，但只说了这一次。七十位长老中的伊利达和米达没有到会幕去，但耶和华的灵也降在他们身上，他们就在营中说起预言来。有一个青年跑去禀告摩西说：“伊利达和米达正在营中说预言。”摩西拣选的助手——嫩的儿子约书亚就说：“我主摩西，请你禁止他们。”摩西说：“你是怕我的权威受影响吗？愿耶和华的子民都成为先知！愿耶和华把祂的灵降在他们身上！”

那一天，耶和华使约书亚在以色列众人面前受尊重，他像摩西一样终生受民众敬畏。

耶利哥城的人对以利沙说：“我主，你看这城地势很好，只是水不好，地里长不出庄稼。”
