As Elisha watched, he kept crying out,“ My father, my father, the chariots and horsemen of Israel!” When he could see him no longer, he took hold of his own clothes, tore them in two,

以利沙见此情景，便喊道：“我父啊！我父啊！以色列的战车和骑兵啊！”以利沙见以利亚消失在天空中，就悲伤地把自己的衣服撕成两半。

以利沙看见，就喊叫：“我父！我父！以色列的战车马兵啊！”跟着就不再看见他了。以利沙抓住自己的衣服，把它撕成两片。

Elisha saw this and cried out,“ My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two.

Elisha saw it and cried out to Elijah,“ My father! You are like a father to me! You, Elijah, are the true chariots and horsemen of Israel!” Elisha didn’t see Elijah anymore. Then Elisha took hold of his own garment and tore it in two.

And Elisha saw it and he cried,“ My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

Elisha saw it and cried out,“ My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” And as they disappeared from sight, Elisha tore his clothes in distress.

And Elisha was watching it and he was crying out,“ My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” And he did not see Elijah again. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried out,“ My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces.

And Elisha saw[ it], and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

While Elisha was watching, he was crying out,“ My father, my father! The chariot and horsemen of Israel!” Then he could no longer see him. He grabbed his clothes and tore them in two.

Elisha saw it, and he cried,“ My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” He saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes, and tore them in two pieces.

When Elisha became sick with the illness from which he died, King Jehoash of Israel went down and wept over him and said,“ My father, my father, the chariots and horsemen of Israel!”

Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah:“ The LORD, the God of Israel, says,‘ Because you prayed to me about King Sennacherib of Assyria,

No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven— the Son of Man.

When the angels had left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said to one another,“ Let’s go straight to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”

Indeed, we groan while we are in this tent, burdened as we are, because we do not want to be unclothed but clothed, so that mortality may be swallowed up by life.

So the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

And while he was blessing them, he left them and was carried up into heaven.

For it says: When he ascended on high, he took the captives captive; he gave gifts to people.

The righteous person perishes, and no one takes it to heart; the faithful are taken away, with no one realizing that the righteous person is taken away because of evil.He will enter into peace— they will rest on their beds— everyone who lives uprightly.

Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his hands? Who has bound up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son— if you know?

Then Hezekiah prayed to the LORD:

Then Job stood up, tore his robe, and shaved his head. He fell to the ground and worshiped,saying: Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will leave this life. The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.

Devout men buried Stephen and mourned deeply over him.

After he had said this, he was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

Indeed, we groan in this tent, desiring to put on our heavenly dwelling,

Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them,“ Come up here.” They went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies watched them.

A city is built up by the blessing of the upright, but it is torn down by the mouth of the wicked.

Perhaps the LORD your God will hear all the words of the royal spokesman, whom his master the king of Assyria sent to mock the living God, and will rebuke him for the words that the LORD your God has heard. Therefore offer a prayer for the surviving remnant.’”

He will even rescue the guilty one, who will be rescued by the purity of your hands.

And I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength, but the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are not heeded.”The calm words of the wise are heeded more than the shouts of a ruler over fools.Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner can destroy much good.

Wisdom makes the wise person stronger than ten rulers of a city.

and said,‘ Don’t be afraid, Paul. It is necessary for you to appear before Caesar. And indeed, God has graciously given you all those who are sailing with you.’
