七月十七日、舟停於亞拉臘山、

則詣所羅巴伯與族長、謂之曰、請許我與爾同建、蓋我尋求爾之上帝、如爾曹然、自亞述王以撒哈頓攜我來時、以迄於今、與之獻祭、

樹幟於大地、吹角於列邦、集諸族來攻之、招亞拉臘米尼亞實基拿諸國擊之、立軍長攻之、使驍騎咸上、有若陋蝗、

我將以靈置於其衷、俾其聞風、而歸故土、在彼使仆於刃、○

我列祖所滅諸國、其神誰拯其民脫於我手、爾之上帝、能拯爾脫於我手乎、

勿聽希西家使爾恃耶和華曰、耶和華必拯我、此城必不付於亞述王手、

當告猶大王希西家云、爾所恃之上帝、謂耶路撒冷必不付於亞述王手、爾勿為其所欺、

惟倚恃以色列之上帝耶和華、其前後猶大列王中、無如之者、

彼論耶路撒冷之上帝、同於人手所造列邦之神、

亞述王西拿基立遂去而返、居於尼尼微、崇拜其神於尼斯洛廟時、其子亞得米勒與沙利色、以刃弒之、遁於亞拉臘地、其子以撒哈頓嗣位、

敵之磐石、不如我之磐石、此敵自為證也、

耶和華遣使於亞述王營、滅其勇土、軍長將帥、亞述王蒙羞、返其故土、入其神廟、為其親生之子所弒、
