Nevertheless for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, by setting up his son after him and by establishing Jerusalem;

who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

“ Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,“ That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levites, the priests, My ministers.

Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

Beautiful in elevation, The joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King.God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge.For behold, the kings assembled, They passed by together.They saw it, and so they marveled; They were troubled, they hastened away.Fear took hold of them there, And pain, as of a woman in birth pangs,As when You break the ships of Tarshish With an east wind.As we have heard, So we have seen In the city of the Lord of hosts, In the city of our God: God will establish it forever.
