Once more a remnant of the kingdom of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above.

Those who remain from the kingdom of Judah will be like plants. Once more they will put down roots and produce fruit.

And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward.

And you who are left in Judah, who have escaped the ravages of the siege, will put roots down in your own soil and will grow up and flourish.

The survivors that are left of the house of Judah will again take root downward and bear fruit upward.

So the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the power of King Sennacherib of Assyria and from the power of all others. He gave them rest on every side.Many were bringing an offering to the LORD to Jerusalem and valuable gifts to King Hezekiah of Judah, and he was exalted in the eyes of all the nations after that.

Perhaps the LORD your God will hear all the words of the royal spokesman, whom his master the king of Assyria sent to mock the living God, and will rebuke him for the words that the LORD your God has heard. Therefore, offer a prayer for the surviving remnant.’”

If the LORD of Armies had not left us a few survivors, we would be like Sodom, we would resemble Gomorrah.

On that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no longer depend on the one who struck them, but they will faithfully depend on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.The remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty God.Israel, even if your people were as numerous as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction has been decreed; justice overflows.

In days to come, Jacob will take root. Israel will blossom and bloom and fill the whole world with fruit.

You cleared a place for it; it took root and filled the land.

The surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root downward and bear fruit upward.For a remnant will go out from Jerusalem, and survivors from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will accomplish this.’
