This will be your confirmation that I have spoken the truth: This year you will eat what grows wild, and next year what grows on its own from that. But in the third year you will plant seed and harvest crops; you will plant vines and consume their produce.

希西家乎、必有其徵、今歲食田所自生者、明年食其所復生者、迨及三年、可稼可穡、植葡萄園、而食其果、

今歲不耕而稔者、為斯民所食、明年亦然、至於三年、可稼可穡、栽植葡萄園、而食其果、既遇斯事、可以為徵。

希西家乎、今我示爾一事、可以為徵、今年斯民必食不種而生之穀、明年亦食自生之穀、第三年乃可稼可穡、栽植葡萄園而食其果、

“ This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah:“ This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

The Lord said,“ Hezekiah, here is a miraculous sign for you.“ This year you will eat what grows by itself. In the second year you will eat what grows from that. But in the third year you will plant your crops and gather them in. You will plant your grapevines and eat their fruit.

“ And this shall be the sign for you: this year eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs of the same. Then in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah,“ Here is the proof that what I say is true:“ This year you will eat only what grows up by itself, and next year you will eat what springs up from that. But in the third year you will plant crops and harvest them; you will tend vineyards and eat their fruit.

“ This will be the sign for you: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what grows from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

‘ Then this shall be the sign for you: you will eat this year what grows of itself, in the second year what grows by itself, and in the third year sow, harvest, plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

‘ This shall be a sign to you:‘ You shall eat this year such as grows of itself, And in the second year what springs from the same; Also in the third year sow and reap, Plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.

And this shall be the sign unto thee: ye shall eat this year that which groweth of itself, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

“ This will be the sign to you: This year, you will eat that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs from that; and in the third year sow, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat its fruit.

Hezekiah had said to Isaiah,“ What is the confirming sign that the LORD will heal me and that I will go up to the LORD’s temple the day after tomorrow?”Isaiah replied,“ This is your sign from the LORD confirming that the LORD will do what he has said. Do you want the shadow to move ahead ten steps or to go back ten steps?”

He replied,“ Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God on this mountain.”

If you say,‘ What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not sow and gather our produce?’I will command my blessing for you in the sixth year so that it may yield the produce for three years,and you may sow the eighth year and eat from that sixth year’s produce– old produce. Until you bring in the ninth year’s produce, you may eat old produce.

This will be a sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.”

This will be a confirming sign for you that will be fulfilled through your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas: in a single day they both will die!

“ Ask for a confirming sign from the LORD your God. You can even ask for something miraculous.”But Ahaz responded,“ I don’t want to ask; I don’t want to put the LORD to a test.”So Isaiah replied,“ Pay attention, family of David. Do you consider it too insignificant to try the patience of men? Is that why you are also trying the patience of my God?For this reason the sovereign master himself will give you a confirming sign. Look, this young woman is about to conceive and will give birth to a son. You, young woman, will name him Immanuel.

but in the seventh year the land must have a Sabbath of complete rest– a Sabbath to the LORD. You must not sow your field or prune your vineyard.You must not gather in the aftergrowth of your harvest and you must not pick the grapes of your unpruned vines; the land must have a year of complete rest.

“ This will be your reminder that I have spoken the truth: This year you will eat what grows wild, and next year what grows on its own. But the year after that you will plant seed and harvest crops; you will plant vines and consume their produce.

This is what the Lord says about him:“ The virgin daughter Zion despises you, she makes fun of you; Daughter Jerusalem shakes her head after you.

For a remnant will leave Jerusalem; survivors will come out of Mount Zion. The intense devotion of the sovereign LORD to his people will accomplish this.So this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria:“ He will not enter this city, nor will he shoot an arrow here. He will not attack it with his shield-carrying warriors, nor will he build siege works against it.He will go back the way he came. He will not enter this city,” says the LORD.I will shield this city and rescue it for the sake of my reputation and because of my promise to David my servant.’”
