He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

Hezekiah sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the palace, to Isaiah the prophet. Isaiah was the son of Amoz. Hezekiah also sent to Isaiah the leading priests and Shebna the secretary. All of them were wearing the same rough clothing.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and the senior priests, covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz.

And he sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the court secretary, and the leading priests, all dressed in burlap, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

He sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the palace, Shebna the court secretary, and the leading priests, who were covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

以下是亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞的異象，就是當猶大王烏西雅、約坦、亞哈斯、希西家執政的日子以賽亞所看見、論到猶大和耶路撒冷的。

『你們去，為我、為人民、為猶大眾人、將所發現這一卷書上的話尋問永恆主；因為我們列祖沒有聽從這書上的話，沒有遵行、照這一切所寫關於我們的事，以致永恆主向我們大發烈怒。』於是希勒家祭司、和亞希甘、亞革波、沙番、亞撒雅、去見女神言人戶勒大；戶勒大是掌管禮服的沙龍的妻子；沙龍是哈珥哈斯的孫子，特瓦的兒子；戶勒大住在耶路撒冷第二區；他們就和她說。

他打發管家以利亞敬、祕書舍伯那和祭司中的長老、都披上麻布，去見亞摩斯的兒子、神言人以賽亞；對他說：『希西家這麼說：「今日是有急難、受責罰、受侮慢的日子；就如嬰兒臨到生產的關頭，卻沒有力量生出來。或者永恆主你的上帝聽見參謀長的話，就是他主上亞述王打發他來辱罵永活之上帝的；或者永恆主你的上帝會斥責他所聽見的話：故此求你為所有餘剩之民呈上禱告。」』希西家王的臣僕就去見以賽亞。

正如神言人以賽亞話語書上所記的、說：『有聲音在野地裏呼喊着說：「要豫備主的道路，造直他的路徑來；

烏西雅其餘的事、其始末、亞摩斯的兒子神言人以賽亞都記了下來。

這是要應驗那藉神言人以賽亞所說的話、說：

他們呼叫了王，希勒家的兒子、管家以利亞敬、祕書舍伯那、和亞薩的兒子通知官約亞就出來見他們。
