He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

Hezekiah sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the palace, to Isaiah the prophet. Isaiah was the son of Amoz. Hezekiah also sent to Isaiah the leading priests and Shebna the secretary. All of them were wearing the same rough clothing.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and the senior priests, covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz.

And he sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the court secretary, and the leading priests, all dressed in burlap, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

He sent Eliakim the palace supervisor, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests, clothed in sackcloth, with this message to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz:

He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz,[ and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great[ is] the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe;( now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.

And he sent Eliakim, who[ was] over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day[ is] a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and[ there is] not strength to bring forth.It may be the LORD thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up[ thy] prayer for the remnant that is left.So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, did Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, write.

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which[ was] over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.
