遣家宰希勒家子以利雅敬、繕寫舍伯那、及祭司之長老、俱披粗麻、往見亞摩斯子先知以賽亞、

He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

Hezekiah sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the palace, to Isaiah the prophet. Isaiah was the son of Amoz. Hezekiah also sent to Isaiah the leading priests and Shebna the secretary. All of them were wearing the same rough clothing.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and the senior priests, covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz.

And he sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the court secretary, and the leading priests, all dressed in burlap, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

He sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the palace, Shebna the court secretary, and the leading priests, who were covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

Then he sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the household, with Shebna the scribe and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.

He sent Eliakim the palace supervisor, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests, clothed in sackcloth, with this message to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz:

He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

當烏西雅、約坦、亞哈斯、希西家作猶大王的時候，亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞得默示，論到猶大和耶路撒冷。

「你們去為我、為民、為猶大眾人，以這書上的話求問耶和華；因為我們列祖沒有聽從這書上的言語，沒有遵着書上所吩咐我們的去行，耶和華就向我們大發烈怒。」於是，祭司希勒家和亞希甘、亞革波、沙番、亞撒雅都去見女先知戶勒大。戶勒大是掌管禮服沙龍的妻；沙龍是哈珥哈斯的孫子、特瓦的兒子。戶勒大住在耶路撒冷第二區。他們請問於她。

使家宰以利亞敬和書記舍伯那，並祭司中的長老，都披上麻布，去見亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞，對他說：「希西家如此說：『今日是急難、責罰、凌辱的日子，就如婦人將要生產嬰孩，卻沒有力量生產。或者耶和華－你的神聽見拉伯沙基的話，就是他主人亞述王打發他來辱罵永生神的話；耶和華－你的神聽見這話就發斥責。故此，求你為餘剩的民揚聲禱告。』」希西家王的臣僕就去見以賽亞。

正如先知以賽亞書上所記的話，說：在曠野有人聲喊着說：預備主的道，修直他的路！

烏西雅其餘的事，自始至終都是亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞所記的。

這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，

他們呼叫王的時候，就有希勒家的兒子家宰以利亞敬，並書記舍伯那和亞薩的兒子史官約亞，出來見他們。
