我又要毀壞你們的邱壇，砍下你們的日像，把你們的屍首扔在你們偶像的身上；我的心也必厭惡你們。

你們要將所趕出的國民事奉神的各地方，無論是在高山，在小山，在各青翠樹下，都毀壞了；也要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，用火焚燒他們的木偶，砍下他們雕刻的神像，並將其名從那地方除滅。

當那些日子，百姓仍在邱壇獻祭，因為還沒有為耶和華的名建殿。所羅門愛耶和華，遵行他父親大衛的律例，只是還在邱壇獻祭燒香。

約沙法行他父親亞撒所行的道，不偏離左右，行耶和華眼中看為正的事；只是邱壇還沒有廢去，百姓仍在那裏獻祭燒香。

城裏的人清早起來，見巴力的壇拆毀，壇旁的木偶砍下，第二隻牛獻在新築的壇上，

你們卻要這樣待他們：拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，砍下他們的木偶，用火焚燒他們雕刻的偶像。

從國中除去孌童，又除掉他列祖所造的一切偶像；並且貶了他祖母瑪迦太后的位，因她造了可憎的偶像亞舍拉。亞撒砍下她的偶像，燒在汲淪溪邊，只是邱壇還沒有廢去。亞撒一生卻向耶和華存誠實的心。

當那夜，耶和華吩咐基甸說：「你取你父親的牛來，就是那七歲的第二隻牛，並拆毀你父親為巴力所築的壇，砍下壇旁的木偶，

你不可跪拜他們的神，不可事奉他，也不可效法他們的行為，卻要把神像盡行拆毀，打碎他們的柱像。

你們若對我說：我們倚靠耶和華－我們的神，希西家豈不是將神的邱壇和祭壇廢去，且對猶大和耶路撒冷的人說：你們當在耶路撒冷這壇前敬拜嗎？

只是邱壇還沒有廢去，百姓仍在那裏獻祭燒香。

摩西在曠野怎樣舉蛇，人子也必照樣被舉起來，叫一切信他的都得永生。

亞哈斯王吩咐祭司烏利亞說：「早晨的燔祭、晚上的素祭，王的燔祭、素祭，國內眾民的燔祭、素祭、奠祭都要燒在大壇上。燔祭牲和平安祭牲的血也要灑在這壇上，只是銅壇我要用以求問耶和華。」

然而你還有善行，因你從國中除掉木偶，立定心意尋求神。」

重新建築他父希西家所拆毀的邱壇，又為巴力築壇，做木偶，且敬拜事奉天上的萬象，

王吩咐大祭司希勒家和副祭司，並把門的，將那為巴力和亞舍拉，並天上萬象所造的器皿，都從耶和華殿裏搬出來，在耶路撒冷外汲淪溪旁的田間燒了，把灰拿到伯特利去。

因他們的邱壇惹了他的怒氣；因他們雕刻的偶像觸動他的憤恨。
