列國之神、誰拯其國脫於我手、耶和華能拯耶路撒冷、脫於我手乎、

列國諸上帝中、孰一救其國於我手、是則耶和華焉能救耶路撒冷於我手乎。

列國之諸神中、有誰救其國脫於我手、獨主能救耶路撒冷脫於我手乎、

Who of all the gods of these countries has been able to save his land from me? How then can the Lord deliver Jerusalem from my hand?”

Now if you’re ready, when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, drum, and every kind of music, fall down and worship the statue I made. But if you don’t worship it, you will immediately be thrown into a furnace of blazing fire— and who is the god who can rescue you from my power?”

Does an ax exalt itself above the one who chops with it? Does a saw magnify itself above the one who saws with it? It would be like a staff waving the one who lifts it! It would be like a rod lifting a man who isn’t wood!

Lord, it is true that the kings of Assyria have devastated the nations and their lands.

Why do the nations rebel and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against the Lord and His Anointed One:

Who is it you have mocked and blasphemed? Who have you raised your voice against and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!You have mocked the Lord through your servants. You have said,“ With my many chariots I have gone up to the heights of the mountains, to the far recesses of Lebanon. I cut down its tallest cedars, its choice cypress trees. I came to its distant heights, its densest forest.I dug wells and drank water. I dried up all the streams of Egypt with the soles of my feet.”Have you not heard? I designed it long ago; I planned it in days gone by. I have now brought it to pass, and you have crushed fortified cities into piles of rubble.Their inhabitants have become powerless, dismayed, and ashamed. They are plants of the field, tender grass, grass on the rooftops, blasted by the east wind.But I know your sitting down, your going out and your coming in, and your raging against Me.Because your raging against Me and your arrogance have reached My ears, I will put My hook in your nose and My bit in your mouth; I will make you go back the way you came.

But Pharaoh responded,“ Who is Yahweh that I should obey Him by letting Israel go? I do not know anything about Yahweh, and besides, I will not let Israel go.”

For he has stretched out his hand against God and has arrogantly opposed the Almighty.He rushes headlong at Him with his thick, studded shields.

So now, don’t let Hezekiah deceive you, and don’t let him mislead you like this. Don’t believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my power or the power of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my power!’”
