我滅甲呢若迦基密、滅哈末若亞八、滅撒馬利亞、若大馬色、

昔哈末王陀以與哈大底泄戰、今聞大闢已擊其軍旅、則遣子約蘭攜金銀銅器、往見大闢王、慶賀而祝之。

亞述列王、滅列國、戮民人、誠有是事、其上帝非上帝、乃木石偶像、人手所作者、故亞述王擲而燬於火、

以大馬色之事、播告於眾、曰、哈末亞八已聞凶耗、恐懼喪膽、不勝戰慄、若海濤之未定。

其人遂往窺地、自汛野至哩哈、近哈馬之道。

何西王九年、亞述陷撒馬利亞、擄以色列族、至亞述地置於坷散河旁之哈臘、哈拔、及米太族諸邑。

迨耶和華驅之於前、循眾僕先知所言、於是以色列族被虜離斯土、至亞述、迄今尚未歸焉。以色列族被虜、亞述王使人自巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈末、西法瓦音、至撒馬利亞諸邑、據其地、居其城、始居之時、民不寅畏耶和華、故耶和華使獅殺數人。或告亞述王曰、爾所遷徙之民、居於撒馬利亞諸邑者、不識斯土上帝之例、故見殺於獅。亞述王命曰、所虜之祭司、可反其一、使居乎彼、以其上帝之例、教誨乎眾。於是自撒馬利亞被攜之祭司一人、來居伯特利、教民畏耶和華、然民住於諸邑各造諸上帝像、置於撒馬利亞人所作崇坵之室。巴比倫人作數割庇納像、古他人作匿甲像、哈末人作亞示馬像、亞瓦人作匿哈與大撻像、西法瓦音人焚其子、奉事其上帝、亞得米勒、亞拿米勒。又畏耶和華以凡庸之民為崇坵祭司、獻祭於崇坵之室、如是畏耶和華、亦事他上帝、循諸族所自出之例、

我祖所滅之國、坷散、哈蘭、哩泄、與提拉撒所居埃田族、其上帝豈得救之乎。哈末亞八、西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦、列王安在。

爾亦聞亞述前王、至於今、皆以翦滅列國是務、而爾獨獲救乎、我祖所滅之國、坷散、哈蘭、哩泄、所居提拉撒、埃田族、其上帝豈得救之乎、
