Don’t let him fool you into trusting in the Lord by saying,‘ The Lord will surely rescue us. This city will never fall into the hands of the Assyrian king!’

也不要听希西家使你们倚靠耶和华，说耶和华必要拯救我们，这城必不交在亚述王的手中。’

不要听凭希西家说服你们倚靠耶和华，他说，耶和华必要拯救我们，这城必不交在亚述王的手中。’

也不要让希西家欺骗你们去信赖耶和华说：耶和华一定会解救我们，这城必不会交在亚述王的手中。

勿聽希西家使爾恃耶和華曰、耶和華必拯我、此城必不付於亞述王手、

希西家使爾恃耶和華、望其拯爾、及爾城垣、脫於亞述王手、

勿聽希西家使爾恃主之言、彼曰、主必救我、此城不至陷於亞述王手、

Do not let Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the Lord when he says,‘ The Lord will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

Don’t let Hezekiah talk you into trusting in the Lord. Don’t believe him when he says,“ You can be sure that the Lord will save us. This city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.” ’

Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord by saying, The Lord will surely deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

Don’t let Hezekiah persuade you to rely on the LORD by saying,“ Certainly the LORD will rescue us! This city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.”’

And do not let Hezekiah lead you to trust in the Lord by saying,“ The Lord will certainly save us, and this city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.”

nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying,“ The Lord will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”’

neither let Hezekiah make you trust in Jehovah, saying, Jehovah will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Don’t let Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the Lord by saying: Certainly the Lord will deliver us! This city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.’

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Don’t let Hezekiah talk you into trusting in the LORD when he says,“ The LORD will certainly rescue us; this city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.”

Don’t let Hezekiah make you trust in Yahweh, saying,“ Yahweh will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

“ And this is what the Lord says about the king of Assyria:“ His armies will not enter Jerusalem. They will not even shoot an arrow at it. They will not march outside its gates with their shields nor build banks of earth against its walls.The king will return to his own country by the same road on which he came. He will not enter this city, says the Lord.For my own honor and for the sake of my servant David, I will defend this city and protect it.”

Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever.Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever.

Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying,“ Is this the one who relies on the Lord? Then let the Lord save him! If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!”

“ This message is for King Hezekiah of Judah. Don’t let your God, in whom you trust, deceive you with promises that Jerusalem will not be captured by the king of Assyria.

How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make groundless accusations? How long will you continue your lies? Interlude

And now, in my old age, don’t set me aside. Don’t abandon me when my strength is failing.

The crowd watched and the leaders scoffed.“ He saved others,” they said,“ let him save himself if he is really God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”

“ Whom have you been defying and ridiculing? Against whom did you raise your voice? At whom did you look with such haughty eyes? It was the Holy One of Israel!

He trusted God, so let God rescue him now if he wants him! For he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”

I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me,“ Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!

They say,“ God has abandoned him. Let’s go and get him, for no one will help him now.”
