你們即使依靠埃及的戰車和騎兵，又怎能打敗我主人的一個最小的將領呢？

否則，你怎能使我主最小的一位臣僕轉臉逃跑呢？你竟然倚賴埃及供應戰車和戰馬嗎？

若不然，你怎能使我主上最小的臣僕的一個軍長轉臉而逃呢？你竟倚靠埃及要得戰車和駿馬呀！

不然、曷能禦我主之僕、軍長至微之一、豈恃埃及、得其車騎耶、

不能、曷能禦我主之僕武士長至微之一乎、然則爾恃埃及、欲得車馬、亦奚以為。

既不能、何能禦我主王之臣僕中至微之武士長乎、爾恃伊及、望得戰車馬卒乎、亦徒然也、

How then will you repel one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust in Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

How then canst thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

How then can you drive back a single officer among the least of my master’s servants and trust in Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

For these Egyptians are mere humans, not God! Their horses are puny flesh, not mighty spirits! When the Lord raises his fist against them, those who help will stumble, and those being helped will fall. They will all fall down and die together.

“ The king must not build up a large stable of horses for himself or send his people to Egypt to buy horses, for the Lord has told you,‘ You must never return to Egypt.’

“ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”

instead, we will go to Egypt where we will be free from war, the call to arms, and hunger,’then hear the Lord’s message to the remnant of Judah. This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ If you are determined to go to Egypt and live there,the very war and famine you fear will catch up to you, and you will die there.That is the fate awaiting every one of you who insists on going to live in Egypt. Yes, you will die from war, famine, and disease. None of you will escape the disaster I will bring upon you there.’“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ Just as my anger and fury have been poured out on the people of Jerusalem, so they will be poured out on you when you enter Egypt. You will be an object of damnation, horror, cursing, and mockery. And you will never see your homeland again.’

What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

Your Majesty, you are the greatest of kings. The God of heaven has given you sovereignty, power, strength, and honor.He has made you the ruler over all the inhabited world and has put even the wild animals and birds under your control. You are the head of gold.

“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: The king of Judah sent you to ask me what is going to happen. Tell him,‘ Pharaoh’s army is about to return to Egypt, though he came here to help you.

Pharaoh and all his mighty army will fail to help Israel when the king of Babylon lays siege to Jerusalem again and destroys many lives.

“ Nevertheless, this man of Israel’s royal family rebelled against Babylon, sending ambassadors to Egypt to request a great army and many horses. Can Israel break her sworn treaties like that and get away with it?
