若不然，怎能打敗我主臣僕中最小的軍長呢？你竟倚靠埃及的戰車馬兵嗎？

若不然，怎能使我主臣僕中最小的一個軍官轉臉而逃呢？你難道要倚靠埃及的戰車和騎兵嗎？

若不然，怎能使我主臣僕中最小的一個軍官轉臉而逃呢？你難道要倚靠埃及的戰車和騎兵嗎？

你們即使依靠埃及的戰車和騎兵，又怎能打敗我主人的一個最小的將領呢？

否則，你怎能使我主最小的一位臣僕轉臉逃跑呢？你竟然倚賴埃及供應戰車和戰馬嗎？

若不然，你怎能使我主上最小的臣僕的一個軍長轉臉而逃呢？你竟倚靠埃及要得戰車和駿馬呀！

不然、曷能禦我主之僕、軍長至微之一、豈恃埃及、得其車騎耶、

不能、曷能禦我主之僕武士長至微之一乎、然則爾恃埃及、欲得車馬、亦奚以為。

How can you repulse one officer of the least of my master’s officials, even though you are depending on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

故我尼布甲尼撒讚美稱謝頌揚天上之大主宰、其所為者最誠實、其道至公義、惟行動驕傲者、天主使之卑微、

既不能、何能禦我主王之僕中至微之武士長乎、爾恃伊及、望得戰車馬卒乎、亦徒然也、

爾恃伊及乎、豈知此即如已折之葦人倚之、必刺通其手、凡恃伊及王法老者亦若是、

如曰、我必往伊及地、在彼不見戰事、不聞角聲、不至缺食而饑餓、我必居於伊及、猶大遺民歟、爾其聽主言、萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、如爾執意往伊及而居於彼、則爾所懼之鋒刃、必追及爾於伊及、所慮之饑饉、必臨及爾於伊及、爾曹必亡於彼、凡執意往伊及、欲居於彼、必亡於鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘、我降之以災、不得脫免、靡有孑遺、萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、我向耶路撒冷居民、傾洩我之盛忿烈怒、爾曹至伊及後、我亦如是向爾曹傾洩我之烈怒、使爾曹受咒詛、令人驚駭、受詈罵、被羞辱、不得復見斯地、

下伊及求助、倚賴戰馬、因車乘眾多而恃之、馬卒甚強而賴之、不仰望以色列之聖主、不祈求主、是人也、禍哉禍哉、

爾恃伊及國乎、豈知彼猶已折之葦、人若倚其上、必刺入其手、凡恃伊及王法老者亦若是、

王為諸王之王、天上之天主、賜王以國、以權、以能、以榮、居各地之人民、野獸、飛鳥、主使咸歸王掌握、主使咸歸王掌握或作主皆付於王手使王統轄一切、金首即王也、

主以色列之天主如是云、猶大王遣爾曹來、求問於我、爾曹當如是告之曰、法老之軍旅、出以助爾、必歸其地伊及、

敵人既築壘建營、欲翦滅邑眾、欲翦滅邑眾或作欲翦滅人眾多法老雖率軍旅眾多、以助其戰、亦必不利、

乃彼背叛巴比倫王、遣使至伊及、欲伊及王賜以馬匹軍旅、彼行是事、豈能亨通、豈能免難、背約之人、豈能得救、
