拉伯沙基说：“你们去告诉希西家说，亚述大王如此说：‘你所倚靠的有什么可仗赖的呢？

将军对他们说：“你们去告诉希西家，大王亚述王如此说：‘你倚靠什么，让你如此自信满满？

将军对他们说：“你们去告诉希西家，大王亚述王如此说：‘你倚靠什么，让你如此自信满满？

亚述的将军说：“你们去告诉希西迦，伟大的亚述王说，‘你凭什么这样自信呢？

拉伯沙基說：「你們去告訴希西家說，亞述大王如此說：『你所倚靠的有甚麼可仗賴的呢？

將軍對他們說：「你們去告訴希西家，大王亞述王如此說：『你倚靠甚麼，讓你如此自信滿滿？

將軍對他們說：「你們去告訴希西家，大王亞述王如此說：『你倚靠甚麼，讓你如此自信滿滿？

亞述的將軍說：「你們去告訴希西迦，偉大的亞述王說，『你憑什麼這樣自信呢？

拉伯沙基對他們說：“你們要對希西家說：‘亞述大王這樣說：你所倚賴的這種防禦算是甚麼呢？

參謀長對他們說：『你們去對希西家說：「大王亞述王這麼說：你所倚靠的這種倚靠心算得了甚麼？

拉伯沙基謂之曰、其告希西家曰、大王亞述王云、爾所恃者何耶、

臘沙基曰、爾當告希西家、亞述大王云、爾誰恃、

拉伯沙基謂之曰、爾曹告希西家曰、亞述大王如是云、爾何所恃耶、

The field commander said to them,“ Tell Hezekiah:“‘ This is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says: On what are you basing this confidence of yours?

The field commander said to them,“ Give Hezekiah this message. Tell him,“‘ Sennacherib is the great king of Assyria. He says,“ Why are you putting your faith in what your king says?

And the Rabshakeh said to them,“ Say to Hezekiah,‘ Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: On what do you rest this trust of yours?

Then the Assyrian king’s chief of staff told them to give this message to Hezekiah:“ This is what the great king of Assyria says: What are you trusting in that makes you so confident?

Then the royal spokesman said to them,“ Tell Hezekiah this is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says:‘ What are you relying on?

And Rabshakeh said to them,“ Say now to Hezekiah,‘ This is what the great king, the king of Assyria says:“ What is this confidence that you have?

Then the Rabshakeh said to them,“ Say now to Hezekiah,‘ Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria:“ What confidence is this in which you trust?

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

Then the Rabshakeh said to them,“ Tell Hezekiah this is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says:‘ What are you relying on?

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence[ is] this wherein thou trustest?

The chief adviser said to them,“ Tell Hezekiah:‘ This is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says:“ What is your source of confidence?

Rabshakeh said to them,“ Say now to Hezekiah,‘ The great king, the king of Assyria, says,“ What confidence is this in which you trust?

拉伯沙基对他们说：“你们去对希西家说：‘亚述大王这样说：你所倚靠的算得是什么倚靠呢？

我列祖消灭的那些国的众神，有哪一个能拯救自己的子民脱离我的手呢？难道你们的神能拯救你们脱离我的手吗？所以，你们现在不要让希西家这样欺骗、迷惑你们；你们也不要信他；因为无论哪一邦哪一国的神，都不能拯救自己的子民脱离我的手和我列祖的手，你们的神不是更不能拯救你们脱离我的手吗？’”西拿基立的臣仆还说了别的话毁谤耶和华神和他的仆人希西家。

“你们要坚强勇敢，不要因亚述王和他统领的大军惧怕惊慌；因为和我们同在的，比和他们同在的更多。和他们同在的，不过是人血肉的手臂；和我们同在的，却是耶和华我们的神，他必帮助我们，为我们作战。”众民因犹大王希西家的话都得着鼓励了。

因为他说：“在我手下的众领袖不都是王吗？迦勒挪不是像迦基米施吗？哈玛不是像亚珥拔吗？撒玛利亚不是像大马士革吗？我的手伸展到这些充满偶像的国，他们雕刻的像比耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的还多。我怎样对待撒玛利亚和其中的偶像，不也照样对待耶路撒冷和其中的偶像吗？”主在锡安山和耶路撒冷成全了他一切工作的时候，他必说：我要惩罚亚述王自大的心所结的果子，和他眼目高傲的态度。因为他说：“我靠着我手的能力和我的智慧行事，因为我很聪明；我挪移了列国的地界，抢夺了他们积蓄的财宝，并且我像个勇士般使他们的居民全都俯伏下来。我的手伸到列国的财宝那里，好像抓到鸟窝一样；我取得了全地，好像人拾起被弃的雀蛋；没有动翅膀的，没有张嘴的，也没有鸣叫的。”

哈马的王、亚珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿和以瓦的王，现在都在哪里呢？”

尊贵的人啊！你们把我的荣耀变为羞辱，要到几时呢？你们喜爱虚妄，追求虚谎，要到几时呢？（细拉）

“你们要对犹大王希西家说：‘不要让你所信靠的神欺骗你说：耶路撒冷不会交在亚述王的手中。

“你们要对犹大王希西家这样说：不要给你所倚靠的神欺骗你说：耶路撒冷必不交在亚述王的手里。

如果你们对我说：我们倚靠的是耶和华我们的神，希西家不是曾把他的邱坛和祭坛废去，又对犹大人和耶路撒冷人说：你们要在耶路撒冷这祭坛前敬拜吗？

他说：“这大巴比伦城不是我用大能大力建造作我的京都，为显我威严的荣耀吗？”

你若对我说：我们倚靠耶和华我们的神，这神所有的邱坛和祭坛岂不是都给希西家废去了，他还对犹大和耶路撒冷的人说：你们只要在这祭坛面前敬拜吗？

王这样说：‘不要给希西家欺骗了你们，因为他不能从我的手中解救你们；也不要让希西家欺骗你们去信赖耶和华说：耶和华一定会解救我们，这城必不会交在亚述王的手中。

“亚述王西拿基立这样说：‘你们现在还在耶路撒冷受困，你们可倚靠什么呢？希西家曾对你们说：耶和华我们的神必拯救我们脱离亚述王的手。他不是迷惑你们，使你们因饥渴而死吗？
