約雅敬時、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒至、約雅敬臣服之、歷至三年、乃背叛之、

戮其諸子、使之目睹、抉其兩目、縶之以鏈、攜至巴比倫、○

彼往埃及求助、恃其車馬之眾、驍騎之強、不仰望以色列之聖者、不尋求耶和華、禍哉其人、然耶和華亦有明智、必降災禍、不食其言、必興起以攻作惡之家、與助惡之輩、埃及族、人也、非神也、其馬、肉也、非靈也、迨耶和華舉手、則助者躓、受助者仆、同歸滅亡、

豈非希西家誘爾、致因飢渴而死乎、彼曰、我之上帝耶和華、必拯我於亞述王手、
