永恆主的訓令正直，能使人的心歡喜；永恆主的誡命清潔，能使人眼目明亮。敬畏永恆主的道理是潔淨的，它立定到永遠；永恆主的典章真實，一概公義。比金子可羨慕，比許多鍊淨的金子還可愛；比蜜甘甜，比蜂房滴下的還甜。並且你僕人還能由於這些而受警戒；守着這些便有大賞報。

以下是摩西在以色列人面前所立的律法；就是摩西在以色列人出埃及後所曉諭他們的法度、律例、典章，

他將列國之地賜給他們，他們便將萬族之民勞碌得來的、擁為己業，為要使他們遵守他的律例，恪守他的律法。哈利路亞！

你也降臨在西乃山，從天上同他們說話，賜給他們正當事的典章、真正的禮節規矩、美好之條例和誡命；你又使他們知道你的聖安息日，並由你僕人摩西經手、將誡命條例律法吩咐他們遵守。

以色列眾人來到永恆主你的上帝所選擇的地方朝見他，那時你要當着以色列眾人面前將這律法誦讀給他們聽。

至於你呢、你要侍立在我左右；我要將你所應當教訓他們的一切誡命、律例、典章、都對你講說，使他們在我所賜給他們為業的地上去遵行。」所以你們要照永恆主你們的上帝所吩咐的謹慎遵行，不可偏於右，或偏於左。你們要在永恆主你們的上帝所吩咐你們走的道路上行，使你們得以活着，平安順遂，並使你們在所要取得為業的地上、延年益壽。『以下是永恆主你們的上帝所吩咐我教訓你們的誡命、律例、典章，使你們在所要過去取得為業的地上去遵行的，好叫你敬畏永恆主你的上帝，遵守他一切的律例、誡命、就是我所吩咐你的，好使你、和你兒子、以及你的子子孫孫、儘你一生的日子都這樣行，使你得享長壽。

摩西把這律法寫下來，交給抬永恆主約櫃的祭司、利未子孫、和以色列眾長老。

『凡我所吩咐你們的一切話、你們都要謹慎遵行；不可加添，也不可減少。

你們要謹守我的一切律例、一切典章、而遵行它；我是永恆主。』

求你將純全的心賜給我兒子所羅門，來遵守你的命令、法度、律例，來成就這一切：用我所豫備的來建造殿宇。』
