以下是摩西在以色列人面前所立的律法，就是摩西在以色列人出埃及以後，對他們所說的法度、律例和典章；

他把多國的地土賜給他們，他們就承受眾民勞碌的成果，為要使他們謹守他的律例，遵守他的律法。你們要讚美耶和華。

你降臨西奈山上，從天上與他們說話，賜給他們正直的典章、真實的律法、美好的條例與誡命。你使他們認識你的聖安息，藉你僕人摩西向他們頒布誡命、條例和律法。

以色列眾人來到耶和華你的神選擇的地方朝見他的時候，你要在以色列眾人面前把這律法宣讀給他們聽。

至於你，你要站在我這裡；我要把一切誡命、律例、典章，都告訴你；你要教導他們，使他們在我賜給他們作產業的地上遵行。’所以，你們要照著耶和華你們的神吩咐你們的，謹守遵行，不可偏離左右。你們要走在耶和華你們的神吩咐你們走的路上，使你們可以活著，可以享福，並且使你在將要佔領為業的地上，可以長久居住。”“以下是耶和華你們的神吩咐我教導你們的誡命、律例、典章，使你們在將要過去佔領為業的地上遵行，好叫你和你的子子孫孫一生一世敬畏耶和華你的神，遵守他的一切律例、誡命，就是我吩咐你的，使你的日子可以長久。

摩西把這律法寫好了，就交給抬耶和華約櫃的利未支派的祭司子孫，和以色列的眾長老。

“我吩咐你們的一切話，你們都要謹守遵行，不可加添，也不可減少。”（本節在《馬索拉文本》為13:1）

你們要謹守遵行我的一切律例和一切典章；我是耶和華。”

求你賜給我的兒子所羅門專一的心，謹守你的誡命、法度和律例，作成這一切事，用我所預備的一切來建造殿宇。”
