以下是摩西頒佈給以色列人的律法，即在離開埃及後傳授給他們的法度、律例和典章。

祂把列國的土地賜給他們，使他們獲得別人的勞動成果。祂這樣做是要使他們持守祂的命令，遵行祂的律法。你們要讚美耶和華！

你降臨在西奈山，從天上與他們說話，賜給他們公正的典章、信實的律法、美好的律例和誡命。你使他們知道你的神聖安息日，藉你僕人摩西賜給他們誡命、律例和法度。

所有以色列人到你們的上帝耶和華選定的地方朝見祂時，你們要當眾大聲宣讀這律法。

然後你再回到我這裡來，我要把所有的誡命、律例和典章都賜給你，你要把這些傳授給眾人，使他們可以在我要賜給他們的土地上遵行。』所以，你們要謹遵你們上帝耶和華的吩咐，不可偏離左右。這樣，你們便得享長壽，並且可以在你們將要佔領的土地上興盛。「你們的上帝耶和華吩咐我教導你們以下的誡命、律例和典章，以便你們在將要佔領的土地上遵行。這樣，你們就會得享長壽，你們及子孫就會終生敬畏你們的上帝耶和華，遵守祂藉我吩咐你們的一切律例和誡命。

摩西把這律法寫好，交給抬耶和華約櫃的利未祭司和以色列的眾長老。

「你們要謹遵我的一切吩咐，不可增添，也不可刪減。

你們要遵行我的一切律例和典章。我是耶和華。」

求你賜給我兒所羅門忠誠的心，以遵行你的誡命、法度和律例，用我預備的材料全力建造殿宇。」
