以下是摩西颁布给以色列人的律法，即在离开埃及后传授给他们的法度、律例和典章。

祂把列国的土地赐给他们，使他们获得别人的劳动成果。祂这样做是要使他们持守祂的命令，遵行祂的律法。你们要赞美耶和华！

你降临在西奈山，从天上与他们说话，赐给他们公正的典章、信实的律法、美好的律例和诫命。你使他们知道你的神圣安息日，借你仆人摩西赐给他们诫命、律例和法度。

所有以色列人到你们的上帝耶和华选定的地方朝见祂时，你们要当众大声宣读这律法。

然后你再回到我这里来，我要把所有的诫命、律例和典章都赐给你，你要把这些传授给众人，使他们可以在我要赐给他们的土地上遵行。’所以，你们要谨遵你们上帝耶和华的吩咐，不可偏离左右。这样，你们便得享长寿，并且可以在你们将要占领的土地上兴盛。“你们的上帝耶和华吩咐我教导你们以下的诫命、律例和典章，以便你们在将要占领的土地上遵行。这样，你们就会得享长寿，你们及子孙就会终生敬畏你们的上帝耶和华，遵守祂借我吩咐你们的一切律例和诫命。

摩西把这律法写好，交给抬耶和华约柜的利未祭司和以色列的众长老。

“你们要谨遵我的一切吩咐，不可增添，也不可删减。

你们要遵行我的一切律例和典章。我是耶和华。”

求你赐给我儿所罗门忠诚的心，以遵行你的诫命、法度和律例，用我预备的材料全力建造殿宇。”
