違棄上帝之典章、及與其列祖所立之約、並戒之之言、從虛無而變為虛妄、效四周異邦、即耶和華所命勿效之者、

斯民所云、耶和華已棄其所選之二族、其言爾不思之乎、彼若斯篾視我民、以為不復成國、耶和華曰、如我所立晝夜之約可廢、如我未定天地之例、則我遺棄雅各之裔、及我僕大衛之裔、不取大衛之裔、以治亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之後、蓋我必返其俘囚、加以矜恤、

故其上帝耶和華付之於亞蘭王手、亞蘭人擊之、虜民甚眾、攜至大馬色、又付之於以色列王手、大行殺戮、利瑪利子比加在猶大、一日間、殺十二萬人、俱為勇士、因棄其列祖之上帝耶和華也、

耶和華震怒以色列人、擯於其前、惟遺猶大支派而已、

違逆與卜筮同罪、頑梗與拜偶像事家神同科、爾棄耶和華命、耶和華亦棄爾、不使為王、

然則上帝棄其民乎、非也、蓋我亦以色列人、亞伯拉罕之裔、便雅憫之支、上帝未棄其所預知之民、爾豈不知經指以利亞所云、其籲上帝、而訟以色列人曰、

故爾付於敵手、而困苦之、窘迫之時、彼呼籲爾、爾則自天垂聽、依爾鴻慈、賜以救者、拯之於敵手、既享綏安、彼復行爾所惡、爾則遺之於敵手、使轄制之、迨其轉而籲爾、爾仍自天垂聽、依爾慈惠、屢施救援、

乃爾上帝耶和華眷顧之地、自年始迄歲終、垂顧不已、○

彼將受刑、永滅於主、及其大能之榮前、
