因此百姓一听见角、号、琴、瑟、三角琴和各样乐器的声音，各方、各国、各族的人就都俯伏，拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

连先知带祭司都是亵渎的，就是在我殿中，我也看见他们的恶行。这是耶和华说的。

我现在是要得人的心，还是要得上帝的心呢？难道我在讨人的喜欢吗？我若仍旧想讨人的喜欢，我就不是基督的仆人了。

以法莲因喜爱遵从荒谬的命令，就受欺压，在审判中被压碎。

亚撒利雅祭司率领八十名勇敢的耶和华的祭司，跟随他进去。他们阻止乌西雅王，对他说：“乌西雅啊，给耶和华烧香不是你的事，而是亚伦子孙的事，他们是分别为圣来烧香的祭司。你出圣殿吧！因为你犯了罪，耶和华上帝必不使你得尊荣。”

祭司的嘴唇当守护知识，人也当从他口中寻求训诲，因为他是万军之耶和华的使者。你们却偏离正道，使许多人在这训诲上绊跌。你们破坏了我与利未人所立的约。这是万军之耶和华说的。所以我使你们被众百姓藐视，看为卑贱；因你们不遵守我的道，在律法上看人的情面。”
