我要叫两个诚实的见证人，就是乌利亚祭司和耶比利家的儿子撒迦利亚，来为我作见证。”

这地的祭司违反我的律法，亵渎我的圣物；他们不分别圣俗，也不教导人分辨什么是洁净的和不洁净的，又掩目不理我的安息日，以致我在他们中间被亵渎。

于是拿伯城里的人，就是那些与拿伯同住一城的长老和贵胄，都照着耶洗别送给他们的信上所写的去行。他们宣告禁食，使拿伯坐在民间的首席上。然后两个匪徒来坐在拿伯的对面。这两个流氓当众作见证控告拿伯，说：“拿伯曾经咒诅神和君王。”众人就把拿伯拉出城外，用石头打他，把他打死了。

因此，各国、各族和说各种语言的人，一听见角、笛、琵琶、弦琴、竖琴和各种乐器的声音，就都俯伏，向尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像下拜。

“先知和祭司都不敬虔，甚至在我殿里我也看见他们的邪恶。”这是耶和华的宣告。

我现在是要得人的欢心，还是要得神的欢心呢？难道我想讨人欢喜吗？如果我仍然要讨人欢喜，就不是基督的仆人了。

以法莲受欺压，被审判压碎；因为他们乐意随从人的命令。

跟随乌西雅进去的，有亚撒利雅祭司，还有耶和华的祭司八十个，都是英勇的人。他们阻止乌西雅王，对他说：“乌西雅啊，给耶和华烧香不是你应作的事，而是亚伦的子孙作祭司的事，他们是分别为圣作烧香的事；请离开圣所吧，因为你作了不应该作的事了，你必不能从耶和华神那里得着尊荣。”

祭司的嘴当保存知识，人要从他的口中寻求教训，因为他是万军耶和华的使者。万军之耶和华说：“你们却偏离了正路，使许多人在律法上跌倒；你们也破坏了我与利未所立的约。因此，我也使你们在众人面前被藐视、受轻看，因为你们不遵守我的道，在律法上徇人的情面。”
