烏西雅的孫子、約坦的兒子猶大王亞哈斯在位的日子，亞蘭王利汛和利瑪利的兒子以色列王比加，上來攻打耶路撒冷，卻不能把它攻陷。有人告訴大衛家說：“亞蘭已經在以法蓮地安營。”王的心和人民的心就都震動，像林中的樹被風搖動一樣。耶和華對以賽亞說：“你和你的兒子施亞雅述出去，在上池的水溝盡頭，就是在漂布者田間的大路上，去迎接亞哈斯，對他說：‘你要謹慎，要鎮定，不要因亞蘭王利汛和利瑪利的兒子這兩個冒煙的火把頭所發的怒氣而害怕，也不要心裡膽怯。因為亞蘭、以法蓮和利瑪利的兒子，設惡謀要害你，說：“我們可以上去攻打猶大，擾亂她，把她攻佔過來，歸我們所有，又在其中立他比勒的兒子作王。”因此，主耶和華這樣說：“這計謀必立不住，也不能成就，因為亞蘭的首都是大馬士革，大馬士革的首領是利汛；六十五年之內，以法蓮必定毀滅，不再成為一族之民。以法蓮的首都是撒瑪利亞，撒瑪利亞的首領是利瑪利的兒子；你們若不相信，就必定不得堅立。”’”

比加轄的軍長，利瑪利的兒子比加陰謀背叛他，在撒瑪利亞王宮的衛所擊殺他；與比加同謀的，有亞珥歌伯和亞利耶，以及和他一起的五十個基列人；比加把他殺死，接續他作王。

至於撒瑪利亞，她與她的君王必被剪除；好像浮在水面的枯枝一般。

伯特利啊，因你們的罪大惡極，我必這樣待你們。在風暴中，以色列的王必全然被除滅。

利瑪利的兒子比加在位第十七年，猶大王約坦的兒子亞哈斯登基作王。

以色列王利瑪利的兒子比加在位第二年，烏西雅的兒子約坦登基作猶大王。他登基的時候是二十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王十六年。他母親名叫耶路沙，是撒督的女兒。

又在邱壇上、山岡上和各青翠樹下，獻祭燒香。因此，耶和華他的神把他交在亞蘭王手裡；亞蘭王擊敗了他，擄走了他很多人民，帶到大馬士革去。神又把他交在以色列王手裡，以色列王就在猶大進行大屠殺。利瑪利的兒子比加在猶大一天之內殺了十二萬人，全是勇士，因為他們離棄了耶和華他們列祖的神。
