So the word of the Lord spoken to Jehu was fulfilled:“ Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

What happened to Zechariah is what the Lord said would happen. He had spoken that message to Jehu. The Lord had said,“ Your sons after you will sit on the throne of Israel. They will rule until the time of your children’s grandchildren.”( 2 Kings 10:30)

( This was the promise of the Lord that he gave to Jehu,“ Your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” And so it came to pass.)

So the Lord’s message to Jehu came true:“ Your descendants will be kings of Israel down to the fourth generation.”

The word of the LORD that he spoke to Jehu was,“ Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel,” and it was so.

This is the word of the Lord which He spoke to Jehu, saying,“ Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” And so it was.

His assassination brought to fulfillment the LORD’s word to Jehu,“ Four generations of your descendants will rule over Israel.” That is exactly what happened.

This was Yahweh’s word which he spoke to Jehu, saying,“ Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” So it came to pass.

耶和華謂耶戶曰、因爾待亞哈全家、從我所欲、故以為善、爾之子孫、必繼以色列國位、歷至四代。

耶羅破暗薨、與以色列列王同葬、子撒加利亞繼位。

昔我使我僕先知傅命、言必降災、斯災已及爾祖、彼遂悛悔、自謂萬有之主耶和華所立之旨、欲降以災、罰我所為、今及我躬矣、

此事成、則經言其骨不折、又言人將觀其所刺者、應矣、○

耶戶告其軍長、畢甲曰、取尸投於耶斯烈人拿泊之田。爾可憶。疇昔爾我同乘、從其父亞哈後、耶和華以預言告之曰、我曾見拿泊及其子之血、必於是田報之。故爾當取尸、投諸田、循耶和華命。

士卒相語曰、勿裂之、鬮觀誰得、經云、分我外服、鬮我裏衣、應矣、士卒所為者如是也、○

天地可廢、我言不可廢、○

猶大王約轄三十七年、約哈斯子約瞎、治以色列、在撒馬利亞、凡歷十六年、

兄弟乎、昔聖神以大闢口、預言引執耶穌之猶大、其經已應、

約瞎既薨、與以色列列王同葬於撒馬利亞、耶羅破暗繼位。○

上帝與人異、不失其信、不回其志、詎有言出而不行、既許而不應。

且經不可毀矣、若奉上帝命者、稱為上帝、

左右反告。耶戶曰、昔耶和華命的庇人以利亞云、在耶斯烈田、耶洗別必為犬所噬、其尸必化糞壤、於耶斯烈田、後人不得指之而言、是乃耶洗別尸、是言應矣。

猶大王亞哈謝子約轄二十三年、耶戶子約哈斯在撒馬利亞、治以色列、凡歷十七載、

昔耶和華命厥僕以利亞、論亞哈之家、今已行之、蓋耶和華之言必無不應、爾眾所當知也。
