So the word of the Lord spoken to Jehu was fulfilled:“ Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

What happened to Zechariah is what the Lord said would happen. He had spoken that message to Jehu. The Lord had said,“ Your sons after you will sit on the throne of Israel. They will rule until the time of your children’s grandchildren.”( 2 Kings 10:30)

( This was the promise of the Lord that he gave to Jehu,“ Your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” And so it came to pass.)

So the Lord’s message to Jehu came true:“ Your descendants will be kings of Israel down to the fourth generation.”

The word of the LORD that he spoke to Jehu was,“ Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel,” and it was so.

This is the word of the Lord which He spoke to Jehu, saying,“ Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” And so it was.

His assassination brought to fulfillment the LORD’s word to Jehu,“ Four generations of your descendants will rule over Israel.” That is exactly what happened.

This was Yahweh’s word which he spoke to Jehu, saying,“ Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” So it came to pass.

主諭耶戶曰、因爾行善、待亞哈家乃循我心意、行我所悅之事、爾之子孫、必繼以色列國位、歷至四世、

耶羅波安與列祖同寢、偕以色列列王葬於撒瑪利亞、子撒迦利雅繼之為王、

斯事得成、為應經所載云、其骨不折、又載云、人將觀其所刺者、○

耶戶謂其將畢甲曰、以其屍投於耶斯烈人拿伯之田、爾可憶爾我同乘、從其父亞哈後、主以此預言告之曰、我昨日見拿伯之血及其子之血、必於是田報爾、今以其屍投於此田、應主所言、

兵卒相語曰、毋裂之、可為之鬮、以觀誰得、是為應經所載云、彼分我外服、為我裏衣而鬮、兵卒所為者果如是也、

天地可廢、我言不廢、

猶大王約阿施三十七年、約哈斯子約阿施即位為以色列王、都撒瑪利亞、在位十六年、

兄弟、昔聖神以大衛口預言引人執耶穌之猶大、其經應驗宜也、

約阿施與列祖同寢、偕以色列王葬於撒瑪利亞、耶羅波安即其位、○

天主非人、萬不食言、非亞當之子、決不後悔、其言豈有不成、其許豈有不應、

夫經不可毀也、若奉天主命者、稱之為神、

遂返告耶戶、耶戶曰、此應主藉其僕提斯比人以利亞所言者、云、耶洗別必在耶斯烈田、為犬所食、耶洗別之屍在耶斯烈田、如糞在田、甚至人不得指之曰、是乃耶洗別也、

猶大王亞哈謝子約阿施二十三年、耶戶子約哈斯即位為以色列王、都撒瑪利亞、在位十七年、

由此爾可知主論亞哈家之所言、無一不應、主藉其僕以利亞所言悉應之、
