The word of the LORD that he spoke to Jehu was,“ Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel,” and it was so.

So the word of the Lord spoken to Jehu was fulfilled:“ Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

What happened to Zechariah is what the Lord said would happen. He had spoken that message to Jehu. The Lord had said,“ Your sons after you will sit on the throne of Israel. They will rule until the time of your children’s grandchildren.”( 2 Kings 10:30)

( This was the promise of the Lord that he gave to Jehu,“ Your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” And so it came to pass.)

So the Lord’s message to Jehu came true:“ Your descendants will be kings of Israel down to the fourth generation.”

This is the word of the Lord which He spoke to Jehu, saying,“ Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” And so it was.

This was the word of the Lord which He spoke to Jehu, saying,“ Your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” And so it was.

This was the word of Jehovah which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons to the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel. And so it came to pass.

The word of the Lord that He spoke to Jehu was,“ Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel,” and it was so.

This[ was] the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth[ generation]. And so it came to pass.

His assassination brought to fulfillment the LORD’s word to Jehu,“ Four generations of your descendants will rule over Israel.” That is exactly what happened.

This was Yahweh’s word which he spoke to Jehu, saying,“ Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” So it came to pass.

Nevertheless, the LORD said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in my sight and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in my heart, four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”

Jeroboam rested with his ancestors, the kings of Israel. His son Zechariah became king in his place.

But didn’t my words and my statutes that I commanded my servants the prophets overtake your ancestors?’” So the people repented and said,“ As the LORD of Armies decided to deal with us for our ways and our deeds, so he has dealt with us.”

For these things happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled: Not one of his bones will be broken.Also, another Scripture says: They will look at the one they pierced.

Jehu said to Bidkar his aide,“ Pick him up and throw him on the plot of ground belonging to Naboth the Jezreelite. For remember when you and I were riding side by side behind his father Ahab, and the LORD uttered this pronouncement against him:‘ As surely as I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons yesterday’— this is the LORD’s declaration—‘ so will I repay you on this plot of land’— this is the LORD’s declaration. So now, according to the word of the LORD, pick him up and throw him on the plot of land.”

So they said to one another,“ Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it, to see who gets it.” This happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled that says: They divided my clothes among themselves, and they cast lots for my clothing. This is what the soldiers did.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

In the thirty-seventh year of Judah’s King Joash, Jehoash son of Jehoahaz became king over Israel in Samaria, and he reigned sixteen years.

“ Brothers and sisters, it was necessary that the Scripture be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit through the mouth of David foretold about Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.

Jehoash rested with his ancestors, and Jeroboam sat on his throne. Jehoash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.

God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?

If he called those to whom the word of God came‘ gods’— and the Scripture cannot be broken—

So they went back and told him, and he said,“ This fulfills the LORD’s word that he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite:‘ In the plot of land at Jezreel, the dogs will eat Jezebel’s flesh.Jezebel’s corpse will be like manure on the surface of the ground in the plot of land at Jezreel so that no one will be able to say: This is Jezebel.’”

In the twenty-third year of Judah’s King Joash son of Ahaziah, Jehoahaz son of Jehu became king over Israel in Samaria, and he reigned seventeen years.

Know, then, that not a word the LORD spoke against the house of Ahab will fail, for the LORD has done what he promised through his servant Elijah.”
