He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, but not as his father David had done. In everything he followed the example of his father Joash.

Amaziah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. But he didn’t do what King David had done. He always followed the example of his father Joash.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, yet not like David his father. He did in all things as Joash his father had done.

Amaziah did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, but not like his ancestor David. Instead, he followed the example of his father, Joash.

不要效法你們列祖。從前的先知呼叫他們說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：『你們要回頭離開你們的惡道惡行。』他們卻不聽，也不順從我。這是耶和華說的。你們的列祖在哪裏呢？那些先知能永遠存活嗎？只是我的言語和律例，就是所吩咐我僕人眾先知的，豈不臨到你們列祖嗎？他們就回頭，說：『萬軍之耶和華定意按我們的行動作為向我們怎樣行，他已照樣行了。』」

所羅門年老的時候，他的妃嬪誘惑他的心去隨從別神，不效法他父親大衛誠誠實實地順服耶和華－他的神。

亞瑪謝行耶和華眼中看為正的事，只是心不專誠。國一堅定，就把殺他父王的臣僕殺了，

亞比央行他父親在他以前所行的一切惡，他的心不像他祖大衛的心，誠誠實實地順服耶和華－他的神。

耶何耶大死後，猶大的眾首領來朝拜王；王就聽從他們。

知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖宗所傳流虛妄的行為，不是憑着能壞的金銀等物，

約阿施在祭司耶何耶大教訓他的時候，就行耶和華眼中看為正的事；

耶和華啊，你是我的力量，是我的保障；在苦難之日是我的避難所。列國人必從地極來到你這裏，說：我們列祖所承受的，不過是虛假，是虛空無益之物。

亞瑪謝殺了以東人回來，就把西珥的神像帶回，立為自己的神，在它面前叩拜燒香。因此，耶和華的怒氣向亞瑪謝發作，就差一個先知去見他，說：「這些神不能救它的民脫離你的手，你為何尋求它呢？」先知與王說話的時候，王對他說：「誰立你作王的謀士呢？你住口吧！為何找打呢？」先知就止住了，又說：「你行這事，不聽從我的勸戒，我知道神定意要滅你。」
