Amaziah, however, would not listen, so Jehoash king of Israel attacked. He and Amaziah king of Judah faced each other at Beth Shemesh in Judah.

But Amaziah wouldn’t listen. So Jehoash, the king of Israel, attacked. He and Amaziah, the king of Judah, faced each other in battle. The battle took place at Beth Shemesh in Judah.

But Amaziah would not listen. So Jehoash king of Israel went up, and he and Amaziah king of Judah faced one another in battle at Beth-shemesh, which belongs to Judah.

以利穩、密大伊勒、和璉、伯亞納、伯示麥、共十九邑、與其鄉里、

觀其匱若由其境之道而行、至伯示麥、則知加重禍於我者、乃耶和華、不然、則知擊我者非其手、乃我偶遇之、其人如言而行、取方字之牝牛二、繫之於車、禁其犢於家、以耶和華匱、及藏金鼠金痔之形之櫝、咸載於車、牛徑往伯示麥道、行於通衢、且行且鳴、不偏於左、不偏於右、非利士牧伯隨之、至伯示麥界、伯示麥人在谷刈麥、舉目見匱、則悅、車至伯示麥人約書亞田而止、田有巨石、遂劈車為柴、獻其牛於耶和華為燔祭、利未人取耶和華匱、與藏金器之櫝而下、置於巨石、是日伯示麥人、獻燔祭及他祭於耶和華、非利士五牧伯見此、即日反以革倫、非利士人所獻金痔於耶和華、為補過之祭者、其數如左、亞實突一、迦薩一、亞實基倫一、迦特一、以革倫一、亦獻金鼠、循非利士五牧伯所屬之邑、與其鄉里、爰及巨石、即置耶和華匱之石、此石在伯示麥人約書亞田間、至今猶存、伯示麥人窺耶和華匱、耶和華擊之、死者七十、其人計有五萬、民因耶和華大行殺戮而悲、

自巴拉轉西、至西珥山、經耶琳山之北、耶琳即基撒崙、下至伯示麥、越亭納、

先知與王言時、王曰、我儕豈立爾為王之謀士、爾休矣、何為見撻、先知乃止、既而曰、我知上帝決意滅爾、因爾行此、不聽我勸戒也、○
