遂核諸州方伯之少者、得二百三十二人、後核以色列民眾、得七千人、

羣眾羣眾、在於斷定谷、耶和華在斷定谷之日伊邇矣、

撒母耳遂起、自吉甲往便雅憫之基比亞、掃羅核其從者、計六百人、

我將使爾為打穀之新器、利而有齒、以打諸山、至成虀粉、使諸崗如粃糠、爾必簸之、風必揚之、狂風散之、惟爾因耶和華而樂、為以色列之聖者而誇、

誰使一人起於東方、以義召之、至其足下、俾服列國、制列王、使其刃如塵埃、使其弓如草芥、

哈薛曰、我主何為而哭、曰、我知爾於以色列人將行之惡、以火燬其堅城、以刃殺其丁壯、擲斃其嬰孩、刳剔其孕婦、

今請以質、予我主亞述王、若能備斯騎馬者、我則予爾馬二千、

我則搗之若風飄之塵、棄之若街衢之泥兮、
