So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and for a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael king of Aram and Ben-Hadad his son.

So the Lord was very angry with Israel. For a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael, the king of Aram. The Lord also kept them under the power of his son Ben- Hadad.

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he gave them continually into the hand of Hazael king of Syria and into the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael.

So the Lord was very angry with Israel, and he allowed King Hazael of Aram and his son Ben hadad to defeat them repeatedly.

So the LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he handed them over to King Hazael of Aram and to his son Ben-hadad during their reigns.

So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He continually handed them over to Hazael king of Aram, and to Ben hadad, the son of Hazael.

Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel, and He delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-Hadad the son of Hazael, all their days.

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, continually.

So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and He surrendered them to the power of Hazael king of Aram and his son Ben-hadad during their reigns.

The LORD was furious with Israel and handed them over to King Hazael of Syria and to Hazael’s son Ben Hadad for many years.

耶和華向他們發怒，使他們遭到掠奪者的攻擊和四周仇敵的壓制，毫無抵抗之力。

亞蘭王哈薛死後，他兒子便·哈達繼位。約阿施三次擊敗便·哈達，收回了他父親約哈斯和哈薛交戰時失去的以色列城邑。

將來從哈薛刀下逃生的，必被耶戶殺死；從耶戶刀下逃生的，必被以利沙殺死。

那時，亞蘭王哈薛攻陷了迦特，準備進攻耶路撒冷。

因為你們的上帝耶和華是烈火，是痛恨不貞的上帝。「將來，即使你們在那裡安頓已久、子孫滿堂，也不可墮落、製造任何形狀的神像，不可做你們的上帝耶和華視為邪惡的事，惹祂發怒。否則，今天我叫天地作證，你們必很快從約旦河對面將要佔領的土地上滅亡，你們必被徹底消滅，不得在那裡長久居住。耶和華必把你們驅散到列邦，使你們在列邦中的人數所剩無幾。

因為我們的上帝是烈火。

我要嚴懲你們，使你們敗在敵人手下；你們要被那些恨你們的人統治，即使沒有人追趕，你們也要逃命。

哈薛問：「我主為什麼哭呢？」以利沙說：「因為我知道你會加害以色列人。你會放火燒他們的堡壘，用刀殺戮他們的壯丁，摔死他們的孩童，剖開他們的孕婦。」哈薛說：「你僕人算什麼，不過是一條狗，怎能做這樣的大事呢？」以利沙說：「耶和華告訴我，你要做亞蘭王。」

耶和華向他們發怒，把他們交在美索不達米亞王古珊·利薩田的手中，受古珊·利薩田統治八年。

「祂要使你們被敵人擊敗、潰不成軍、四散逃命，下場令天下萬國驚懼。

耶和華說：「亞述王有禍了！他是我的憤怒之棍，他手中拿著我發烈怒的杖。我要差遣他去攻打一個不虔敬的國家，一個惹我發怒的民族，去搶奪、擄掠他們的財物，像踐踏街上的泥土一樣踐踏他們。

約哈斯執政期間，亞蘭王哈薛一直壓迫以色列人。

耶和華向他們發怒，把他們交在非利士人和亞捫人手中。那年，非利士人和亞捫人擊垮了以色列人，壓迫基列地區、約旦河東亞摩利境內的以色列人達十八年。亞捫人還渡過約旦河攻擊猶大、便雅憫和以法蓮支派，使以色列人苦不堪言。於是，他們呼求耶和華說：「我們背棄我們的上帝去祭拜巴力，我們得罪了你。」耶和華對他們說：「你們受埃及人、亞摩利人、亞捫人、非利士人、西頓人、亞瑪力人和馬雲人的壓迫，就呼求我，我豈沒有拯救你們嗎？但你們竟背棄我，去事奉別的神明，所以我不再救你們。你們去呼求自己選擇的神明吧！你們有難，讓他們救你們吧！」
