So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and for a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael king of Aram and Ben-Hadad his son.

So the Lord was very angry with Israel. For a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael, the king of Aram. The Lord also kept them under the power of his son Ben- Hadad.

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he gave them continually into the hand of Hazael king of Syria and into the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael.

So the Lord was very angry with Israel, and he allowed King Hazael of Aram and his son Ben hadad to defeat them repeatedly.

So the LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he handed them over to King Hazael of Aram and to his son Ben-hadad during their reigns.

So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He continually handed them over to Hazael king of Aram, and to Ben hadad, the son of Hazael.

Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel, and He delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-Hadad the son of Hazael, all their days.

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, continually.

So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and He surrendered them to the power of Hazael king of Aram and his son Ben-hadad during their reigns.

耶和华向他们发怒，使他们遭到掠夺者的攻击和四周仇敌的压制，毫无抵抗之力。

亚兰王哈薛死后，他儿子便·哈达继位。约阿施三次击败便·哈达，收回了他父亲约哈斯和哈薛交战时失去的以色列城邑。

将来从哈薛刀下逃生的，必被耶户杀死；从耶户刀下逃生的，必被以利沙杀死。

那时，亚兰王哈薛攻陷了迦特，准备进攻耶路撒冷。

因为你们的上帝耶和华是烈火，是痛恨不贞的上帝。“将来，即使你们在那里安顿已久、子孙满堂，也不可堕落、制造任何形状的神像，不可做你们的上帝耶和华视为邪恶的事，惹祂发怒。否则，今天我叫天地作证，你们必很快从约旦河对面将要占领的土地上灭亡，你们必被彻底消灭，不得在那里长久居住。耶和华必把你们驱散到列邦，使你们在列邦中的人数所剩无几。

因为我们的上帝是烈火。

我要严惩你们，使你们败在敌人手下；你们要被那些恨你们的人统治，即使没有人追赶，你们也要逃命。

哈薛问：“我主为什么哭呢？”以利沙说：“因为我知道你会加害以色列人。你会放火烧他们的堡垒，用刀杀戮他们的壮丁，摔死他们的孩童，剖开他们的孕妇。”哈薛说：“你仆人算什么，不过是一条狗，怎能做这样的大事呢？”以利沙说：“耶和华告诉我，你要做亚兰王。”

耶和华向他们发怒，把他们交在美索不达米亚王古珊·利萨田的手中，受古珊·利萨田统治八年。

“祂要使你们被敌人击败、溃不成军、四散逃命，下场令天下万国惊惧。

耶和华说：“亚述王有祸了！他是我的愤怒之棍，他手中拿着我发烈怒的杖。我要差遣他去攻打一个不虔敬的国家，一个惹我发怒的民族，去抢夺、掳掠他们的财物，像践踏街上的泥土一样践踏他们。

约哈斯执政期间，亚兰王哈薛一直压迫以色列人。

耶和华向他们发怒，把他们交在非利士人和亚扪人手中。那年，非利士人和亚扪人击垮了以色列人，压迫基列地区、约旦河东亚摩利境内的以色列人达十八年。亚扪人还渡过约旦河攻击犹大、便雅悯和以法莲支派，使以色列人苦不堪言。于是，他们呼求耶和华说：“我们背弃我们的上帝去祭拜巴力，我们得罪了你。”耶和华对他们说：“你们受埃及人、亚摩利人、亚扪人、非利士人、西顿人、亚玛力人和马云人的压迫，就呼求我，我岂没有拯救你们吗？但你们竟背弃我，去事奉别的神明，所以我不再救你们。你们去呼求自己选择的神明吧！你们有难，让他们救你们吧！”
