耶和華念與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、故待以色列族仁慈矜恤、不欲盡滅、驅於其前。

惟耶和華因與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、施恩矜恤之、眷顧之、尚不滅之、不逐之於其前、

然主因與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約故、仍施恩於以色列人、矜恤之、眷顧之、不欲盡滅之、尚未逐於其前、

But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence.

But the Lord helped Israel. He was tender and kind to them. He showed concern for them. He did all these things because of the covenant he had made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he hasn’t been willing to destroy Israel. And he hasn’t driven them out of his land.

But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion on them, and he turned toward them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, nor has he cast them from his presence until now.

But the Lord was gracious and merciful to the people of Israel, and they were not totally destroyed. He pitied them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And to this day he still has not completely destroyed them or banished them from his presence.

But Yahweh was gracious to them, and had compassion on them, and had respect for them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, and he didn’t cast them from his presence as yet.

民曰、上帝與、孰克與爾頡頏、爾之遺民、蹈於罪愆、可蒙赦宥、爾以矜憫為悅、不恆怒余、必復施恩、助予克惡、以我罪愆、棄諸深淵、越在疇昔、爾與我祖亞伯拉罕、雅各立誓、必加恩澤、今將前言是踐焉。

嘗有預言、不欲殲滅以色列族於天下、故使約瞎子耶羅破暗為之援手。

我必使爾苗裔、如塵沙然、若有能核塵沙之數者、則爾苗裔、亦可計矣。爾起徧行其地、我必賜爾。

我之上帝耶和華、垂念爾僕之禱、聽我今日所求、

干耶和華震怒、耶路撒冷猶大之民、咸被驅逐。

我與爾約、賜爾子孫眾多、寖昌寖熾。亞伯蘭遂俯伏焉。上帝又曰。我與爾約、命爾為萬民父、今而後、不復名爾為亞伯蘭、乃以亞伯拉罕稱爾、因我命爾為萬民父焉。

故耶和華怒以色列族、驅於其前、靡有孑遺、所餘者惟猶大族而已。

上帝聞之、追念素與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立之約、故眷顧以色列族、特垂念焉。

矜恤我祖、念其聖命、即與我祖亞伯拉罕所矢之誓、

惟耶和華上帝、施仁行義、矜憫為懷彼必欲勃然而興、以恩加爾、凡恃主者、必蒙福祉、民將居郇山、及耶路撒冷城、爾不復哭泣、呼籲於上、主必俯聞、加以矜憫、

惟爾上帝、仁慈矜憫、施恩無涯、故不遐棄斯民、滅之務盡。我之上帝、至尊至能、允宜寅畏、許人以恩、必踐其言、凡我列王、諸伯、祭司、先知、長老、庶民、自亞述王迄於今日、所遭患難、爾毋以為未足。

耶和華曰、人既縱欲、我神必不恆牖其衷、然尚可延其生命、至於一百二十年。

遂去他上帝、事耶和華。耶和華見以色列族困苦、則中心愀然。

又曰、我乃爾祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、摩西蒙其面、不敢覲上帝。耶和華曰、我鑒吾民、受苦於埃及、人督其役、上籲於我、惟我聽聞、知其殷憂。

既驅之出、後加矜憫、使歸故土、恢復舊業。

毋我遐棄、爾之聖神、恆牖予衷兮、

我將與爾、及爾歷代苗裔、立我永約、為爾及爾裔之上帝、爾所旅者、即迦南一境、我將以之賜爾及爾苗裔、永為恆產、我亦為其上帝。○

曰、我所矜恤者矜恤之、我所憐憫者憐憫之、故必顯著我德、宣播我名、俾爾聞知。

蓋耶和華必代其民而伸冤、為其臣而回志、鑒觀於下、知民力已廢、或主或僕、靡有孑遺。

過摩西前曰、耶和華全能之上帝、仁慈矜憫、恆忍施恩、真實無妄、錫恩於人、至千百世、人蹈罪愆、可蒙赦宥、恆於惡者、不蒙赦宥、禍及其身、自父及子、至三四世。

求爾憶念爾僕。亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列、昔爾指己而誓、必熾昌其後、如天星之眾多、錫以所言之地、俾為永業。耶和華聞之、悔其前言、不加禍於民。○

其必受刑永苦、被逐於主前、不得覲其耿光、

惟主上帝、仁慈矜憫、恆忍不已、施恩格外、踐其前言兮、

則我必追憶曩時與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、而俯念斯土。

以色列其臣也、而扶持之、如昔諭我祖、永念矜恤亞伯拉罕、爰及苗裔是也、○

雖令人懷憂、必加矜恤、仁澤靡涯兮、

彼立厥約、永世弗忘兮、

又謂在左者曰、爾服詛者、離我入永火、乃為魔鬼及其使者而備者也、
