But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence.

But the Lord helped Israel. He was tender and kind to them. He showed concern for them. He did all these things because of the covenant he had made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he hasn’t been willing to destroy Israel. And he hasn’t driven them out of his land.

But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion on them, and he turned toward them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, nor has he cast them from his presence until now.

But the Lord was gracious and merciful to the people of Israel, and they were not totally destroyed. He pitied them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And to this day he still has not completely destroyed them or banished them from his presence.

Who is a God like You, removing iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not hold on to His anger forever, because He delights in faithful love.He will again have compassion on us; He will vanquish our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.You will show loyalty to Jacob and faithful love to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers from days long ago.

However, the Lord had not said He would blot out the name of Israel under heaven, so He delivered them by the hand of Jeroboam son of Jehoash.

I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust of the earth, then your offspring could be counted.Get up and walk around the land, through its length and width, for I will give it to you.”

Listen to Your servant’s prayer and his petition, Lord my God, so that You may hear the cry and the prayer that Your servant prays before You today,

Because of the Lord’s anger, it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that He finally banished them from His presence. Then, Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you greatly.”Then Abram fell facedown and God spoke with him:“ As for Me, My covenant is with you: you will become the father of many nations.Your name will no longer be Abram, but your name will be Abraham, for I will make you the father of many nations.

Therefore, the Lord was very angry with Israel, and He removed them from His presence. Only the tribe of Judah remained.

So God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.God saw the Israelites, and He took notice.

He has dealt mercifully with our fathers and remembered His holy covenant—the oath that He swore to our father Abraham. He has given us the privilege,

Therefore the Lord is waiting to show you mercy, and is rising up to show you compassion, for the Lord is a just God. All who wait patiently for Him are happy.For you people will live on Zion in Jerusalem and will never cry again. He will show favor to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears, He will answer you.

However, in Your abundant compassion, You did not destroy them or abandon them, for You are a gracious and compassionate God.So now, our God— the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God who keeps His gracious covenant— do not view lightly all the hardships that have afflicted us, our kings and leaders, our priests and prophets, our ancestors and all Your people, from the days of the Assyrian kings until today.

And the Lord said,“ My Spirit will not remain with mankind forever, because they are corrupt. Their days will be 120 years.”

So they got rid of the foreign gods among them and worshiped the Lord, and He became weary of Israel’s misery.

Then He continued,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.Then the Lord said,“ I have observed the misery of My people in Egypt, and have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I know about their sufferings.

After I have uprooted them, I will once again have compassion on them and return each one to his inheritance and to his land.

Do not banish me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me.

I will keep My covenant between Me and you, and your future offspring throughout their generations, as an everlasting covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.And to you and your future offspring I will give the land where you are residing— all the land of Canaan— as an eternal possession, and I will be their God.”

He said,“ I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

The Lord will indeed vindicate His people and have compassion on His servants when He sees that their strength is gone and no one is left— slave or free.

Then the Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed: Yahweh— Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth,maintaining faithful love to a thousand generations, forgiving wrongdoing, rebellion, and sin. But He will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ wrongdoing on the children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generation.

Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel— You swore to them by Your very self and declared,‘ I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and will give your offspring all this land that I have promised, and they will inherit it forever.’”So the Lord relented concerning the disaster He said He would bring on His people.

These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strength

But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth.

then I will remember My covenant with Jacob. I will also remember My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.

He has helped His servant Israel, mindful of His mercy,just as He spoke to our ancestors, to Abraham and his descendants forever.

Even if He causes suffering, He will show compassion according to His abundant, faithful love.

He remembers His covenant forever, the promise He ordained for a thousand generations—

Then He will also say to those on the left,‘ Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels!
