Jehoiada the priest took a chest and bored a hole in its lid. He placed it beside the altar, on the right side as one enters the temple of the Lord. The priests who guarded the entrance put into the chest all the money that was brought to the temple of the Lord.

Then Jehoiada the priest took a chest and bored a hole in the lid of it and set it beside the altar on the right side as one entered the house of the Lord. And the priests who guarded the threshold put in it all the money that was brought into the house of the Lord.

耶稣对银库坐着，看众人怎样投钱入库。有好些财主往里投了若干的钱。

在你的院宇住一日，胜似在别处住千日；宁可在我神殿中看门，不愿住在恶人的帐棚里。

耶稣抬头观看，见财主把捐项投在库里，

领到耶和华的殿，进入神人伊基大利的儿子哈难众子的屋子。那屋子在首领的屋子旁边，在沙龙之子把门的玛西雅屋子以上。

护卫长拿住大祭司西莱雅、副祭司西番亚，和三个把门的，

王吩咐大祭司希勒家和副祭司，并把门的，将那为巴力和亚舍拉，并天上万象所造的器皿，都从耶和华殿里搬出来，在耶路撒冷外汲沦溪旁的田间烧了，把灰拿到伯特利去。

其次还有他们的弟兄撒迦利雅、便雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、比拿雅、玛西雅、玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅，并守门的俄别以东和耶利。

祭司示巴尼、约沙法、拿坦业、亚玛赛、撒迦利雅、比拿亚、以利以谢在神的约柜前吹号。俄别以东和耶希亚也是约柜前守门的。

“你去见大祭司希勒家，使他将奉到耶和华殿的银子，就是守门的从民中收聚的银子，数算数算，

于是王下令，众人做了一柜，放在耶和华殿的门外，又通告犹大和耶路撒冷的百姓，要将神仆人摩西在旷野所吩咐以色列人的捐项给耶和华送来。众首领和百姓都欢欢喜喜地将银子送来，投入柜中，直到捐完。利未人见银子多了，就把柜抬到王所派的司事面前；王的书记和大祭司的属员来将柜倒空，仍放在原处。日日都是这样，积蓄的银子甚多。王与耶何耶大将银子交给耶和华殿里办事的人，他们就雇了石匠、木匠重修耶和华的殿，又雇了铁匠、铜匠修理耶和华的殿。工人操作，渐渐修成，将神殿修造得与从前一样，而且甚是坚固。工程完了，他们就把其余的银子拿到王与耶何耶大面前，用以制造耶和华殿供奉所用的器皿和调羹，并金银的器皿。耶何耶大在世的时候，众人常在耶和华殿里献燔祭。
