Jehoash said to the priests,“ All the money of the holy things that is brought into Yahweh’s house, in current money, the money of the people for whom each man is evaluated, and all the money that it comes into any man’s heart to bring into Yahweh’s house,

Joash said to the priests,“ Collect all the money that is brought as sacred offerings to the temple of the Lord— the money collected in the census, the money received from personal vows and the money brought voluntarily to the temple.

Joash spoke to the priests. He said,“ Collect all the money the people bring as sacred offerings to the Lord’ s temple. That includes the money collected when the men who are able to serve in the army are counted. It includes the money received from people who make a special promise to the Lord. It also includes the money people bring to the temple just because they want to.

Jehoash said to the priests,“ All the money of the holy things that is brought into the house of the Lord, the money for which each man is assessed— the money from the assessment of persons— and the money that a man’s heart prompts him to bring into the house of the Lord,

One day King Joash said to the priests,“ Collect all the money brought as a sacred offering to the Lord’s Temple, whether it is a regular assessment, a payment of vows, or a voluntary gift.

Then Joash said to the priests,“ All the dedicated silver brought to the LORD’s temple, census silver, silver from vows, and all silver voluntarily given for the LORD’s temple—

Then Jehoash said to the priests,“ All the money of the sacred offerings which is brought into the house of the Lord, in current money, both the money of each man’s assessment and all the money which anyone’s heart prompts him to bring into the house of the Lord,

And Jehoash said to the priests,“ All the money of the dedicated gifts that are brought into the house of the Lord— each man’s census money, each man’s assessment money— and all the money that a man purposes in his heart to bring into the house of the Lord,

And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the hallowed things that is brought into the house of Jehovah, in current money, the money of the persons for whom each man is rated, and all the money that it cometh into any man’s heart to bring into the house of Jehovah,

Then Joash said to the priests,“ All the dedicated money brought to the Lord’s temple, census money, money from vows, and all money voluntarily given for the Lord’s temple,

And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD,[ even] the money of every one that passeth[ the account], the money that every man is set at,[ and] all the money that cometh into any man’s heart to bring into the house of the LORD,

Jehoash said to the priests,“ I place at your disposal all the consecrated silver that has been brought to the LORD’s temple, including the silver collected from the census tax, the silver received from those who have made vows, and all the silver that people have voluntarily contributed to the LORD’s temple.

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money which is brought into Yahweh’s house, which the keepers of the threshold have gathered of the people.

‘ Take from among you an offering to Yahweh. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as Yahweh’s offering: gold, silver, bronze,

In addition, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, since I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, with which to overlay the walls of the houses;of gold for the things of gold, and of silver for the things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be made by the hands of artisans. Who then offers willingly to consecrate himself today to Yahweh?”Then the princes of the fathers’ households, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king’s work, offered willingly;and they gave for the service of God’s house of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, of silver ten thousand talents, of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and of iron one hundred thousand talents.People with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of Yahweh’s house, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to Yahweh; and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

The children of Israel brought a free will offering to Yahweh; every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work, which Yahweh had commanded to be made by Moses.

They came, both men and women, as many as were willing- hearted, and brought brooches, earrings, signet rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to Yahweh.

“ When you take a census of the children of Israel, according to those who are counted among them, then each man shall give a ransom for his soul to Yahweh, when you count them; that there be no plague among them when you count them.They shall give this, everyone who passes over to those who are counted, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary( the shekel is twenty gerahs); half a shekel for an offering to Yahweh.Everyone who passes over to those who are counted, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering to Yahweh.The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when they give the offering of Yahweh, to make atonement for your souls.You shall take the atonement money from the children of Israel, and shall appoint it for the service of the Tent of Meeting; that it may be a memorial for the children of Israel before Yahweh, to make atonement for your souls.”

for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on.”

They brought in the offerings, the tithes, and the dedicated things faithfully. Conaniah the Levite was ruler over them, and Shimei his brother was second.

He brought the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, gold, and vessels into God’s house.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them,‘ When a man consecrates a person to Yahweh in a vow, according to your valuation,your valuation of a male from twenty years old to sixty years old shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.If she is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels.If the person is from five years old to twenty years old, then your valuation shall be for a male twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels.If the person is from a month old to five years old, then your valuation shall be for a male five shekels of silver, and for a female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver.If the person is from sixty years old and upward; if he is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels.But if he is poorer than your valuation, then he shall be set before the priest, and the priest shall assign a value to him. The priest shall assign a value according to his ability to pay.

“ If anyone commits a trespass, and sins unwittingly regarding Yahweh’s holy things, then he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.He shall make restitution for that which he has done wrong regarding the holy thing, and shall add a fifth part to it, and give it to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and he will be forgiven.

I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.

He brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the wide place on the east,and said to them,“ Listen to me, you Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify Yahweh, the God of your fathers’ house, and carry the filthiness out of the holy place.For our fathers were unfaithful, and have done that which was evil in Yahweh our God’s sight, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of Yahweh, and turned their backs.Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Israel.Therefore Yahweh’s wrath was on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has delivered them to be tossed back and forth, to be an astonishment, and a hissing, as you see with your eyes.For, behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with Yahweh, the God of Israel, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.My sons, don’t be negligent now; for Yahweh has chosen you to stand before him, to minister to him, and that you should be his ministers, and burn incense.”

and the priest shall evaluate it, whether it is good or bad. As the priest evaluates it, so it shall be.But if he will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of it to its valuation.“‘ When a man dedicates his house to be holy to Yahweh, then the priest shall evaluate it, whether it is good or bad. As the priest evaluates it, so it shall stand.If he who dedicates it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall be his.“‘ If a man dedicates to Yahweh part of the field of his possession, then your valuation shall be according to the seed for it. The sowing of a homer of barley shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.If he dedicates his field from the Year of Jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.But if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the Year of Jubilee; and an abatement shall be made from your valuation.If he who dedicated the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall remain his.If he will not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more;but the field, when it goes out in the Jubilee, shall be holy to Yahweh, as a devoted field. It shall be owned by the priests.“‘ If he dedicates a field to Yahweh which he has bought, which is not of the field of his possession,then the priest shall reckon to him the worth of your valuation up to the Year of Jubilee; and he shall give your valuation on that day, as a holy thing to Yahweh.In the Year of Jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongs.All your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs to the shekel.“‘ However the firstborn among animals, which belongs to Yahweh as a firstborn, no man may dedicate, whether an ox or a sheep. It is Yahweh’s.If it is an unclean animal, then he shall buy it back according to your valuation, and shall add to it the fifth part of it; or if it isn’t redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.

He set the priests in their offices, and encouraged them in the service of Yahweh’s house.

All those who were around them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, with animals, and with precious things, in addition to all that was willingly offered.

They gave according to their ability into the treasury of the work sixty- one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests’ garments.

and weighed to them the silver, the gold, and the vessels, even the offering for the house of our God, which the king, his counselors, his princes, and all Israel there present, had offered.I weighed into their hand six hundred fifty talents of silver, one hundred talents of silver vessels; one hundred talents of gold,twenty bowls of gold weighing one thousand darics; and two vessels of fine bright bronze, precious as gold.I said to them,“ You are holy to Yahweh, and the vessels are holy. The silver and the gold are a free will offering to Yahweh, the God of your fathers.

and all the silver and gold that you will find in all the province of Babylon, with the free will offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem;

If a man redeems anything of his tithe, he shall add a fifth part to it.

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,“ Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering.

They made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, to bring in for Yahweh the tax that Moses the servant of God laid on Israel in the wilderness.All the princes and all the people rejoiced, and brought in, and cast into the chest, until they had filled it.

Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.

They received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, with which to make it. They kept bringing free will offerings to him every morning.

Jehoash king of Judah took all the holy things that Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own holy things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and of the king’s house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria; and he went away from Jerusalem.

King David also dedicated these to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, from Moab, from the children of Ammon, from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
