So the overseer of the palace, the overseer of the city, the elders, and the guardians sent a message to Jehu:“ We are your servants, and we will do whatever you tell us. We will not make anyone king. Do whatever you think is right.”

管家的和市長跟長老們和養育王子的、就打發人去見耶戶，說：『我們是你的僕人；凡你所吩咐我們的、我們都要遵行。我們不立甚麼人做王；你看怎麼好、就怎麼行好啦。』

家宰邑宰長老、及教育亞哈子者、遣人詣耶戶曰、我為爾僕、凡所命者、我必行之、我不立人為王、爾視為善者則行之、

家宰、邑宰、長老、訓迪者、遣人告耶戶曰、任爾為所欲為、我不敢立王、願為爾臣、惟命是聽。

家宰、邑宰、長老、教育者、遣人見耶戶曰、我為爾僕、凡所命我、我必遵行、我不願立王、凡爾所欲、任爾行之、

So the palace administrator, the city governor, the elders and the guardians sent this message to Jehu:“ We are your servants and we will do anything you say. We will not appoint anyone as king; you do whatever you think best.”

The city governor and the person in charge of the palace sent a message to Jehu. The message was also from the elders and the people who took care of Ahab’s children. In the message, they said,“ We will serve you. We’ll do anything you say. We won’t appoint anyone to be king. Do what you think is best.”

So he who was over the palace, and he who was over the city, together with the elders and the guardians, sent to Jehu, saying,“ We are your servants, and we will do all that you tell us. We will not make anyone king. Do whatever is good in your eyes.”

So the palace and city administrators, together with the elders and the guardians of the king’s sons, sent this message to Jehu:“ We are your servants and will do anything you tell us. We will not make anyone king; do whatever you think is best.”

And the one who was in charge of the household, and the one who was in charge of the city, and the elders, and the guardians of the children, sent word to Jehu, saying,“ We are your servants, and everything that you tell us we will do. We will not appoint any man king; do what is good in your sight.”

And he who was in charge of the house, and he who was in charge of the city, the elders also, and those who reared the sons, sent to Jehu, saying,“ We are your servants, we will do all you tell us; but we will not make anyone king. Do what is good in your sight.”

And he that was over the household, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and they that brought up the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any man king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.

And he that[ was] over the house, and he that[ was] over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up[ of the children], sent to Jehu, saying, We[ are] thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou[ that which is] good in thine eyes.

So the palace supervisor, the city commissioner, the leaders, and the guardians sent this message to Jehu,“ We are your subjects! Whatever you say, we will do. We will not make anyone king. Do what you consider proper.”

He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying,“ We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes.”

So they dressed with sackcloth around their waists and ropes around their heads, went to the king of Israel, and said,“ Your servant Ben-hadad says,‘ Please spare my life.’” So he said,“ Is he still alive? He is my brother.”

Then the king of Israel answered,“ Just as you say, my lord the king: I am yours, along with all that I have.”

So our elders and all the inhabitants of our land told us,‘ Take provisions with you for the journey; go and meet them and say,“ We are your servants. Please make a treaty with us.”’

They said to Joshua,“ We are your servants.” Then Joshua asked them,“ Who are you and where do you come from?”

So King Hezekiah of Judah sent word to the king of Assyria at Lachish:“ I have done wrong; withdraw from me. Whatever you demand from me, I will pay.” The king of Assyria demanded eleven tons of silver and one ton of gold from King Hezekiah of Judah.

If anyone serves me, he must follow me. Where I am, there my servant also will be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

The Gibeonites answered him,“ It was clearly communicated to your servants that the LORD your God had commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land before you. We greatly feared for our lives because of you, and that is why we did this.Now we are in your hands. Do to us whatever you think is right.”

All nations will serve him, his son, and his grandson until the time for his own land comes, and then many nations and great kings will enslave him.“‘“ As for the nation or kingdom that does not serve King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and does not place its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation I will punish by sword, famine, and plague— this is the LORD’s declaration— until through him I have destroyed it.

Do not listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon and live! Why should this city become a ruin?
