Nevertheless, the LORD said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in my sight and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in my heart, four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”

耶和华对耶户说：“因你办好我眼中看为正的事，照我的心意待亚哈家，你的子孙必接续你坐以色列的国位，直到四代。”

耶和华对耶户说：“因你办好我眼中看为正的事，照我的心意待亚哈家，你的子孙必接续你坐以色列的王位，直到第四代。”

耶和华对耶户说：“因你办好我眼中看为正的事，照我的心意待亚哈家，你的子孙必接续你坐以色列的王位，直到第四代。”

耶和华对耶户说：“你已经做了我视为正的事，照我的意思除掉了亚哈一家，因此你的子孙必做以色列王，直到第四代。”

耶和华对耶户说：“因为你办好了我看为正的事，照我的一切心意对付亚哈家，你的子孙要坐在以色列的王位上，直到第四代。”

耶和華對耶戶說：「因你辦好我眼中看為正的事，照我的心意待亞哈家，你的子孫必接續你坐以色列的國位，直到四代。」

耶和華對耶戶說：「因你辦好我眼中看為正的事，照我的心意待亞哈家，你的子孫必接續你坐以色列的王位，直到第四代。」

耶和華對耶戶說：「因你辦好我眼中看為正的事，照我的心意待亞哈家，你的子孫必接續你坐以色列的王位，直到第四代。」

永恆主對耶戶說：『因你將我所看為對的事辦好，照我的心意待亞哈家，你的子孫到第四代都必坐以色列的王位。

耶和華諭耶戶曰、因爾行我所視為善者、依我心意、待亞哈家、爾之子孫必居以色列國位、歷至四世、

耶和華謂耶戶曰、因爾待亞哈全家、從我所欲、故以為善、爾之子孫、必繼以色列國位、歷至四代。

主諭耶戶曰、因爾行善、待亞哈家乃循我心意、行我所悅之事、爾之子孫、必繼以色列國位、歷至四世、

The Lord said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in accomplishing what is right in my eyes and have done to the house of Ahab all I had in mind to do, your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

The Lord said to Jehu,“ You have done well. You have accomplished what is right in my eyes. You have done to Ahab’s royal house everything I wanted you to do. So your sons after you will sit on the throne of Israel. They will rule until the time of your children’s grandchildren.”

And the Lord said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in my eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab according to all that was in my heart, your sons of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.”

Nonetheless the Lord said to Jehu,“ You have done well in following my instructions to destroy the family of Ahab. Therefore, your descendants will be kings of Israel down to the fourth generation.”

Yet the Lord said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in performing what is right in My eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab in accordance with everything that was in My heart, your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.”

And the Lord said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in doing what is right in My sight, and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in My heart, your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

And Jehovah said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in my heart, thy sons of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.

Nevertheless, the Lord said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in My sight and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in My heart, four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”

And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing[ that which is] right in mine eyes,[ and] hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that[ was] in mine heart, thy children of the fourth[ generation] shall sit on the throne of Israel.

The LORD said to Jehu,“ You have done well. You have accomplished my will and carried out my wishes with regard to Ahab’s dynasty. Therefore four generations of your descendants will rule over Israel.”

Yahweh said to Jehu,“ Because you have done well in executing that which is right in my eyes, and have done to Ahab’s house according to all that was in my heart, your descendants shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

Jehu rested with his ancestors and was buried in Samaria. His son Jehoahaz became king in his place.

In the fifteenth year of Judah’s King Amaziah son of Joash, Jeroboam son of Jehoash became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years.

In the thirty-seventh year of Judah’s King Joash, Jehoash son of Jehoahaz became king over Israel in Samaria, and he reigned sixteen years.

In the twenty-third year of Judah’s King Joash son of Ahaziah, Jehoahaz son of Jehu became king over Israel in Samaria, and he reigned seventeen years.

Then the LORD said to him: Name him Jezreel, for in a little while I will bring the bloodshed of Jezreel on the house of Jehu and put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.

“ Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? I will not bring the disaster during his lifetime, because he has humbled himself before me. I will bring the disaster on his house during his son’s lifetime.”

and then sent you on a mission and said,‘ Go and completely destroy the sinful Amalekites. Fight against them until you have annihilated them.’So why didn’t you obey the LORD? Why did you rush on the plunder and do what was evil in the LORD’s sight?”“ But I did obey the LORD!” Saul answered.“ I went on the mission the LORD gave me: I brought back King Agag of Amalek, and I completely destroyed the Amalekites.The troops took sheep, goats, and cattle from the plunder— the best of what was set apart for destruction— to sacrifice to the LORD your God at Gilgal.”Then Samuel said: Does the LORD take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? Look: to obey is better than sacrifice, to pay attention is better than the fat of rams.For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and defiance is like wickedness and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.Saul answered Samuel,“ I have sinned. I have transgressed the LORD’s command and your words. Because I was afraid of the people, I obeyed them.

In the thirty-eighth year of Judah’s King Azariah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria for six months.He did what was evil in the LORD’s sight as his predecessors had done. He did not turn away from the sins Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah. He struck him down publicly, killed him, and became king in his place.As for the rest of the events of Zechariah’s reign, they are written in the Historical Record of Israel’s Kings.The word of the LORD that he spoke to Jehu was,“ Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel,” and it was so.

I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah, because you have angered me and caused Israel to sin.’

“ Son of man, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon made his army labor strenuously against Tyre. Every head was made bald and every shoulder chafed, but he and his army received no compensation from Tyre for the labor he expended against it.Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: I am going to give the land of Egypt to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and he will carry off its wealth, seizing its spoil and taking its plunder. This will be his army’s compensation.I have given him the land of Egypt as the pay he labored for, since they worked for me.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

The prophet said to him,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because you released from your hand the man I had set apart for destruction, it will be your life in place of his life and your people in place of his people.’”
