Jehu said,“ Call everyone together to honor Baal.” So they did.

耶戶說：『要為巴力祝聖一個聖節會。』他們就這樣宣告了。

耶戶曰、當為巴力特設肅會、遂宣告焉、

耶戶曰、當告於民、必有大會、奉事巴力。遂告焉。

耶戶曰、當宣告大會、崇拜巴力、遂宣告焉、

Jehu said,“ Call an assembly in honor of Baal.” So they proclaimed it.

And Jehu ordered,“ Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal.” So they proclaimed it.

Then Jehu ordered,“ Prepare a solemn assembly to worship Baal!” So they did.

Jehu commanded,“ Consecrate a solemn assembly for Baal.” So they called one.

And Jehu said,“ Proclaim a holy assembly for Baal.” And they proclaimed it.

And Jehu said,“ Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal.” So they proclaimed it.

And Jehu said, Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed it.

Jehu commanded,“ Consecrate a solemn assembly for Baal.” So they called one.

And Jehu said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed[ it].

Then Jehu ordered,“ Make arrangements for a celebration for Baal.” So they announced it.

Jehu said,“ Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal!” So they proclaimed it.

Announce a holy fast. Tell the people not to eat anything. Gather them together for a special service. Send for the elders and all who live in the land. Have them come to the house of the Lord your God. And pray to him.

When Aaron saw what they were doing, he built an altar in front of the calf. He said,“ Tomorrow will be a feast day to honor the Lord.”

Now send for people from all over Israel. Tell them to meet me on Mount Carmel. And bring the 450 prophets of the god named Baal. Also bring the 400 prophets of the female god named Asherah. All of them eat at Jezebel’s table.”So Ahab sent that message all through Israel. He gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel.

They announced a day of fasting. They had Naboth sit in an important place among the people.
