Now when he departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab, coming to meet him; and he greeted him and said to him,“ Is your heart right, as my heart is toward your heart?” And Jehonadab answered,“ It is.” Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and he took him up to him into the chariot.

耶戶離彼而往、遇利甲子約拿達來迎、乃問其安曰、爾心正直向我、如我心之正直向爾乎、約拿達曰、然、曰、如是、則與我攜手、遂與攜手、耶戶挽之登車、

由彼而往、遇哩甲子約拿撻、施禮既竟、問曰、我心與爾相合、不知爾心亦與我相合乎。約拿撻曰、無不相合。曰、合則與我攜手。遂攜手、賜之同車。

自彼而往、遇利甲子約拿達來迎、耶戶問其安、謂之曰、我心向爾真誠、不知爾心向我亦真誠否、約拿達曰、真誠、耶戶曰、如是、則向我伸手、遂伸手、耶戶挽之登車、

After he left there, he came upon Jehonadab son of Rekab, who was on his way to meet him. Jehu greeted him and said,“ Are you in accord with me, as I am with you?”“ I am,” Jehonadab answered.“ If so,” said Jehu,“ give me your hand.” So he did, and Jehu helped him up into the chariot.

Jehu left there. On the way he met Jehonadab. He was the son of Rekab. Jehonadab was on his way to see Jehu. Jehu greeted him. He asked,“ Are you my friend? You know I’m your friend.”“ I am,” Jehonadab answered.“ If that’s true,” said Jehu,“ hold out your hand.” So he did. Then Jehu helped him up into the chariot.

And when he departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. And he greeted him and said to him,“ Is your heart true to my heart as mine is to yours?” And Jehonadab answered,“ It is.” Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand. And Jehu took him up with him into the chariot.

When Jehu left there, he met Jehonadab son of Recab, who was coming to meet him. After they had greeted each other, Jehu said to him,“ Are you as loyal to me as I am to you?”“ Yes, I am,” Jehonadab replied.“ If you are,” Jehu said,“ then give me your hand.” So Jehonadab put out his hand, and Jehu helped him into the chariot.

When he left there, he found Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him and then asked,“ Is your heart one with mine?”“ It is,” Jehonadab replied. Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and Jehu pulled him up into the chariot with him.

Now when he had gone from there, he encountered Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him; and he greeted him and said to him,“ Is your heart right, just as my heart is with your heart?” And Jehonadab answered,“ It is.” Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” And he gave him his hand, and he pulled him up to him into the chariot.

And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him; and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thy heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thy hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

When he left there, he found Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him and then asked,“ Is your heart one with mine?”“ It is,” Jehonadab replied. Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and Jehu pulled him up into the chariot with him.

And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab[ coming] to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart[ is] with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give[ me] thine hand. And he gave[ him] his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

When he left there, he met Jehonadab, son of Rekab, who had been looking for him. Jehu greeted him and asked,“ Are you as committed to me as I am to you?” Jehonadab answered,“ I am!” Jehu replied,“ If so, give me your hand.” So he offered his hand and Jehu pulled him up into the chariot.

When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him,“ Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered,“ It is.”“ If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

“ The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, which he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; for to this day they drink none, and obey their father’s commandment. But although I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking, you did not obey Me.I have also sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying,‘ Turn now everyone from his evil way, amend your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them; then you will dwell in the land which I have given you and your fathers.’ But you have not inclined your ear, nor obeyed Me.Surely the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them, but this people has not obeyed Me.”’“ Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel:‘ Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the doom that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them but they have not heard, and I have called to them but they have not answered.’”And Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites,“ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:‘ Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts and done according to all that he commanded you,therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:“ Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not lack a man to stand before Me forever.”’”

And they gave their promise that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they presented a ram of the flock as their trespass offering.

And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez were the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites. These were the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.

Since he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, and in fact gave his hand and still did all these things, he shall not escape.’”

Brethren, I urge you to become like me, for I became like you. You have not injured me at all.

And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them,“ If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look and bring judgment.”Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the captains, and he said:“ We are yours, O David; We are on your side, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, And peace to your helpers! For your God helps you.” So David received them, and made them captains of the troop.

And he said,“ How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.

Jehu met with the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said,“ Who are you?” So they answered,“ We are the brothers of Ahaziah; we have come down to greet the sons of the king and the sons of the queen mother.”

Then Joseph brought in his father Jacob and set him before Pharaoh; and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

So Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh.

and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

And early in the morning Laban arose, and kissed his sons and daughters and blessed them. Then Laban departed and returned to his place.

Then Joram said,“ Make ready.” And his chariot was made ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu, and met him on the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him,“ Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him,“ Feed My lambs.”He said to him again a second time,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him,“ Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him,“ Tend My sheep.”He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” And he said to Him,“ Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed My sheep.

But they said,“ We will drink no wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying,‘ You shall drink no wine, you nor your sons, forever.You shall not build a house, sow seed, plant a vineyard, nor have any of these; but all your days you shall dwell in tents, that you may live many days in the land where you are sojourners.’Thus we have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters,nor to build ourselves houses to dwell in; nor do we have vineyard, field, or seed.But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
