Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them,“ Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury.”

Ahaziah had fallen through the window of his upstairs room in Samaria. He had hurt himself. So he sent messengers to ask the god named Baal- Zebub for advice. Baal- Zebub was the god of the city of Ekron. Ahaziah said to the messengers,“ Go and ask Baal- Zebub whether I will get well again.”

Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice in his upper chamber in Samaria, and lay sick; so he sent messengers, telling them,“ Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this sickness.”

One day Israel’s new king, Ahaziah, fell through the latticework of an upper room at his palace in Samaria and was seriously injured. So he sent messengers to the temple of Baal zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether he would recover.

Ahaziah had fallen through the latticed window of his upstairs room in Samaria and was injured. So he sent messengers, instructing them,“ Go inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover from this injury.”

And Ahaziah fell through the window lattice in his upper chamber which was in Samaria, and became ill. So he sent messengers and said to them,“ Go, inquire of Baal zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover from this sickness.”

他對王說：「耶和華如此說：『你派人去問以革倫的神明巴力‧西卜，是因為以色列中沒有上帝可以讓你求問他的話嗎？所以你必不能下所上的床，你一定會死！』」

以利沙來到大馬士革，亞蘭王便‧哈達正患病。有人告訴王說：「神人來到這裏了。」王就吩咐哈薛說：「你帶着禮物去見神人，託他求問耶和華，我這病能不能好？」於是哈薛用四十匹駱駝，馱着大馬士革的各樣美物為禮物，去迎見以利沙。哈薛到了那裏，站在他面前，說：「你兒子亞蘭王便‧哈達派我到你這裏，問說：『我這病會不會好？』」以利沙對哈薛說：「你回去告訴他說：『你一定會好。』但耶和華指示我，他必定會死。」

學生所遭遇的與老師一樣，僕人所遭遇的與主人一樣，也就夠了。既然有人罵一家的主人是『別西卜』，更何況他的家人呢？」

其中卻有人說：「他是靠着鬼王別西卜趕鬼。」

我祖先所毀滅的，就是歌散、哈蘭、利色和提‧拉撒的伊甸人；這些國的神明何曾拯救他們呢？

因為他們離棄我，敬拜西頓人的女神亞斯她錄、摩押的神明基抹和亞捫人的神明米勒公，沒有像他父親大衛一樣遵從我的道，行我眼中看為正的事，守我的律例典章。

將列國的神明扔在火裏，因為它們不是神明，是人手所造的，是木頭、石頭，所以被滅絕了。

但耶和華的使者對提斯比人以利亞說：「你起來，上去迎見撒瑪利亞王的使者，對他們說：『你們去問以革倫的神明巴力‧西卜，是因為以色列中沒有上帝嗎？』

他們對王說：「有一個人上來迎見我們，對我們說：『去，回到差你們來的王那裏，對他說：耶和華如此說，你派人去問以革倫的神明巴力‧西卜，是因為以色列中沒有上帝嗎？所以你必不能下所上的床，你一定會死。』」

但法利賽人聽見，就說：「這個人趕鬼，無非是靠着鬼王別西卜罷了。」耶穌知道他們的心思，就對他們說：「一國自相紛爭，必定荒蕪；一城一家自相紛爭，必立不住。若撒但趕出撒但，就是自相紛爭，他的國怎能立得住呢？我若靠着別西卜趕鬼，你們的子弟趕鬼又靠着誰呢？這樣，他們要作你們的判官。

有一個少年，名叫猶推古，坐在窗口上，沉沉入睡。保羅講了多時，少年睡熟了，從三層樓上掉下去，扶起來時已經死了。

豈不是禍患臨到不義的，災害臨到作惡的嗎？

他們就把上帝的約櫃送到以革倫。上帝的約櫃到了以革倫，以革倫人就呼喊說：「他們把以色列上帝的約櫃運到我這裏，要害我和我的百姓！」

「西西拉的母親從窗戶裏往外觀看，她在窗格子中哀號：『他的戰車為何遲遲未歸？他的車輪為何走得那麼慢呢？』

有一人開弓，並不知情，箭恰巧射入以色列王鎧甲的縫裏。王對駕車的說：「我受重傷了，你掉過車來，載我離開戰場！」

你不是已經得了你的神明基抹賜給你的地為業嗎？耶和華－我們的上帝在我們面前所趕出的，我們也要得它為業。

現在你手裏要帶十個餅、幾個薄餅和一瓶蜜到他那裏去，他必告訴你，孩子會怎樣。」

我的良人像羚羊，像小鹿。看哪，他站在我們的牆壁邊，從窗戶往裏觀看，從窗格子往裏窺探。

看哪，耶和華必降大災於你的百姓和你的妻妾、兒女，以及你一切所有的。至於你，你必患許多的病，你的腸子也必生病，日漸沉重，直到腸子墜落下來。』」
